2009-2010 Polls thread

Re: 2009-2010 Polls thread

It's not sour grapes (or not much:) ) but I just don't understand why BU is always in the top ten. I definately don't see how they jumped over SLU in the USAToday poll.

Is it just name association? Last year, with 10 seniors, I could make more of a case, but just don't get it this year.

Because they have a win:)
I've seen them this year, and they are pretty good. They deserve to be in the top 10 at least as much as Harvard and Dartmouth.

I like the looks of #9!! :D

I wonder the last time the Huskies were ranked that high...

Hmmm, not even a vote for UConn. Kind of surprised. Maybe the poll vote is influenced by how many Fan Forum members you have?

Nope, that's not it.... if that were the case, BC would be #1

Re: 2009-2010 Polls thread

Just my opinion, I thought they were overrated even in last week's poll, and their game with BC confirmed this in my opinion. That said, I agree that the BC game was not part of the consideration for the current poll.

I think it would take an upset over UNH this weekend to keep them in the top ten for next week; not likely to happen. Maybe now, finally, a team like tOSU or UConn can get the recognition they've earned so far this season.

Re: 2009-2010 Polls thread

I'm not naming names, but in my opinion only two of the best three teams from Hockey East are fairly represented in this top ten.

Oh yeah, and the one who shouldn't be there happens to not have a football team!

Not sure if this is what you are saying but I will come out and say it, what is BU doing in the top 10 (at least ahead of NU)? They played 3 games this past week, lost two of them and tied the other. They have only won three games this year (overall record is 3-3-5).

I am really not getting it.

Hey voters, if wins/ties are all it takes, PC also has a 3-5 record :)
