I bet a lot of women say no. They say yes in public so no one boos them but then after the game they hand the ring back and say GTFO.

I was at the game. We all thought it was a stunt. Either way, REALLY stupid way to propose, unless you and your partner have discussed marriage and are pretty much decided on it. Horrible to put someone on the spot like that.

Yeah, somebody who I think worked for the team wrote Deadspin and said the two were actors. I know it's not the first time one of these "marriage proposal failures" has been exposed as being a stunt.

I know a girl that did this exact thing at a Twins game. She put on a smile, said yes. They kissed, and she whispered to him "We have to talk after the game."

She was effing ticked.

I bet the rest of that game was pleasant for the guy. :p

He was grasping at straws at that point. I think he could tell that they were growing apart, so he did the only thing he could think of to keep it from continuing. Smart.

The first two lines at Team Russia practice today:

Ye Gods.

They pale in comparison:

Reminds me of the old USSR lines, the ones featuring Sergei Federov, Mogilny, etc.

Fedorov is centering the third line with a couple of KHL players... Who used to be NHL guys: Viktor Kozlov and Alexander Radulov.

So which will be the bigger blowout - Canada/Norway or Russia/Latvia?

Ha, I was hoping that maybe you had posted the schedule for Wednesday's games. Yeah, I'm lazy. :D Off to google...

Edit: From what I can tell:

Finland v. Belarus - 3pm ET (MSNBC)
Sweden v. Germany - 8pm ET (CNBC)
