GLM, I know you like your wheel of justice, but yet again the Down Goes Brown flowchart fits the situation. Especially the post season one.

My post, my rules b-tches.

Congratulations Dan Boyle, the contract on your life has been rescinded...for now. I'd really like to offer a heartfelt congratulations to the Sharks, but that would be like congratulating someone for getting laid on their wedding night.

GRRRRRREAT SAVE LUONGO!!! God, I love watching Jim Hughson-called games.

Hughie is the #1 HNIC guy. Now that it's playoff time, I can't get him or Bob Cole on DirecTV. :(

Great call of a great save!

Two thoughts:

I've said this before but I love the CBC commercials during HNIC. I want Houghton to have a "The Keg" Steakhouse, someone from Henault et Gosselin to fix my foundation and restore the rightful value of my home and that I could open a Scotiabank "Getting There" account and get a Stanley Cup Savings Tin.

Two: GRRRRRREAT SAVE LUONGO!!! God, I love watching Jim Hughson-called games.

Nothing says you are in a recession like when a bank is giving away tin cans.

Breaking news from Montreal:

Pernell Karl Subban has been recalled from Hamilton and will be in the line-up tonight!

PK had 18 goals and 35 assists for 53 points (and was also +46, though I despise that stat) in 77 regular season games, and has added 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points in Calder Cup playoff games.

Major, major boost.

Good stuff Yotes, and doing it with Doaner to top it off!

Jacques Lemaire has retired. He said he felt trapped in his old job and is looking to spend time with his family.

Of tonight's games, which series end and which go to game 7??

Habs I/O has his inclusion in the lineup as a MAY and not a WILL just yet....but I sure hope you're right.

I heard on NHL radio that Gomez didn't practice today. I can't imagine he would miss this game though.

Getting nervous for tonight. If there's anything the Bruins have taught me its that the Sabres have this series wrapped being down 3-2.

That's just gamesmanship from Martin, which is ridiculous. You don't call a kid up (your last call up, at that) in a crucial game where he fits an obvious need and have him watch. He'll be in the lineup - I've been listening to Team990 all day and they're saying its pretty much assured.

In fact, looks like Booney over at HIP is saying that it will be SK74 and Darche sitting...which is rdiculous (as that means MAB is still in the lineup).

Can't we just fire Martin now and bring in Boucher from Hamilton, before he goes to Tampa or Columbus?

I'm guessing this is more of a GTFO "retirement", and he's just going to take the chance to call it a career rather than chase another Cup.

Nice Freudian slip though. ;)

One wonders why he didn't retire to begin with. I guess he just had to go somewhere else one more time to find out if the grass was greener or not.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Thread Part II: Dan Boyle's fate rests in the balance...

This is the thing that worries me about the Hawks tonight... They are facing a rookie goalie who doesn't know that he's playing over his head and has been all series... Rinnie has downright stopped the Hawks for the most part... They don't get as many quality chances as they are used to seeing... The Hawks can't get frustrated with this and start giving the puck away trying to make things happen...

If they get sloppy at the end of the 1st and into the 2nd period like they have done all series, it could potentially be game over for them
