I'm still waiting for the first ref to have the balls to call a delay for Octopi on the ice. Since, you know, fans throwing stuff on the ice is a delay of game penalty.

Edit: 3-0.

Tonight is clearly not a "awesome super tight game" night so far.

Nice fans, nice players. Ottawa

Almost game time here in Denver. The key for the Avalanche in tonight's game: keeping Dan Boyle out of the penalty box, cuz even he can't score from in there. Let's play ball. :D

I wonder if Turco will be on Detroit's radar because Dallas isn't going to re-sign him.

We'd never win another home game. :p

Seriously, one washed-up veteran who has won three Cups (two as starter) and is a fan favorite for another washed-up veteran who hasn't won squat and is the laughingstock of the Detroit fanbase? I don't care how great he was at Michigan. He's probably going to ask for (and get) too much money this summer, but someone other than Detroit can overpay him for his middling, twilight year efforts.

I'd find it funny if he somehow ended up in St. Louis, cementing the Blues as the retirement home of once competent goaltenders.

Neither team can stop Dan Boyle!

Hey, look who remembered that the main object of the game of hockey is to put it in the other team's net! ;) :p

Okay, now I'm a little worried about my Blackhawks.

Nashville up 3-1 on Chicago about halfway through the 2nd.

I was debating this with a co-worker that didn't think the Preds had it in them, but for all that the franchise lacks, Nashville can be a real ***** to play at in the playoffs, especially with that irritating, "I like it, I love it" crap after the goals. That would be enough to make me go Keith Ballard on someone.

Their defense has been brutally good so far. 4 goals in 8 periods against.

Nashville is the team I least enjoy watching Detroit play at any time, regular season or playoffs. They can execute the trap almost as well as the '95 Devils. It's coma-inducing at times.

Really could use a goal before the end of the period. I didn't think we coped too well with chasing one goal against them last Friday, don't know how we'd do needing two.

Hey, how did that second CHI goal get waived off? I'm too busy watching COL-SJS, waiting to see what new and creative ways the Sharks might find to break their fans' hearts. ;)
