2/9/13 Skating away on the thin ice of a new day! SCORES!!

Re: 2/9/13 Skating away on the thin ice of a new day! SCORES!!

Just look at how some Laker fans refer to a group of seniors who have been to three straight final fours and won close to a 100 games as inconsistent. As you get the glass half empty mentality around here.
They are not as good this year as they have been the last few years and they are wildly inconsistent. It is not a glass half empty mentality it's the truth. They have dominated periods then just disappeared in the next one. If they find some consistency they will be hard to beat but we are 20 some games in and they haven't found it yet. They have shown an ability to grind out wins lately which they had some trouble doing the last few years. It just seems like if the secondary scorers get going then the top guys go away and vice versa.

It must be nice to be that spoiled. We went to 2 Final Fours... In the mid-1990's. We even lost a National Championship Game to Middlebury. Those days are over. We would be happy with a 2 road win season at this point.

Good game by Oswego tonight. They did what they had to do on the road. Fredonia can take a win and one goal loss on back to back saturdays against Plattsburgh and Oswego and try to build off that. They are someones roadkill in the playoffs. No scoring.

Williams 6

Same teams tomorrow 4 PM up @ Middlebury

Interesting decision by the Brockport coaches... Down by 2 with 1 minute left, the goalie is asking to be pulled while they have posession, and they tell him to stay put...

In any case, Brockport proceeded to take a penalty, and that was the end of it all. 3-1 final, Plattsburgh wins it.

Yes only consistently won 20 games this season, most in D3 ... wish we were a little better

WOW didn't see Genny not getting a point this weekend. Good for da Bears!

berbs, I wont argue with you about the games they have won but it goes to show how good they really can be that they can take whole periods off and still win games. They were lucky against Morrisville because they fell apart and the Mustangs couldn't make them pay. I know they are a lot better than they have played at times this year. I am not taking anything at all away from what they have accomplished I am just saying this year they have been a step off a lot and some teams have really let them off the hook.

Re: 2/9/13 Skating away on the thin ice of a new day! SCORES!!

My biggest complaint about (some) Oswego fans is that despite the talent they have they are consistently negative about the team even when they win. There are no style points for wins - you either win or you don't. Celebrate the wins, make appropriate critiques, but most of all celebrate the wins

Re: 2/9/13 Skating away on the thin ice of a new day! SCORES!!

So Plattsburgh needs one point next weekend to wrap up the first-round bye without going to tiebreakers. Oh, and Oswego will lock in the #1 seed with 1 more point in the standings next weekend in the North Country. (Go Potsdam! Lol)

Hey Nate, Oswego actually needs a win to clinch first. platty would beat them in the h2h tie breaker

Plattsburgh has clinched a bye. Geneseo only has one game left, so the best they can do is tie Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh owns the tie-breaker on H2H differential as H2H record and conference wins will be identical in that scenario.

Prof, I do celebrate the wins but I am a perfectionist and it comes across on here. I have also always taken criticism better than I do compliments so I also am better at dealing out criticism. It is a character flaw I know, but I also know Eddie and the boys aren't satisfied with their season to this point even with all the wins. I am by no means saying they are a bad team. We have seen flashes of their best this year and it is very impressive, I would just like to see more of it because I feel if they put a full 60 minutes of their best hockey together, they can beat anyone even the best team in the world Utica.
