2/9/13 Skating away on the thin ice of a new day! SCORES!!

Re: 2/9/13 Skating away on the thin ice of a new day! SCORES!!

I don't know why, but I hate Fredonia much more than Plattsburgh. I guess it's because of the cheap wins Freddy gets all the time against Oz. I once used the line "Doctors prescribe Fredonia games to cure insomnia." :D At least Platty has talented guys that beat us on their merit and not some BS system.

My attitude towards that attitude is if you are incapable of beating a team with less talent and a BS system, well, quite frankly you don't deserve to be considered winners.

The only thing that matters is the scoreboard. You play to win the game, not to b*tch about someone else's system because you can't beat it.

Gertsakis scores with 5 ticks remaining to give the Lakers their 3rd ppg....and that's the period 3-2 Lakers

After going his first 27 collegiate games scoreless. Gertsakis has scored 3 in the last 4 periods.

I understand, but they are painful to watch. And for a program that finishes top 5 in the conference, you'd think their fans would show up. I was at Steele Hall a long time ago and I saw more people at a wake than at a game.

No need to drag the students and townies into this. Meredith does all he can to stunt support. When they are good, and big games are played, Steele Hall can be a great place.

I am a New Jersey fan (and an Avalanche fan) so I cannot complain about boring hockey too much. I really don't like the way Fredonia play's but Oswego know's how to beat it, they just need to execute which with this group of Laker's execution is sometimes non-existent.

Also when did Oswego get a player named McCooney? To their credit though they have pronounced some of the names better in the second half of the game.

Mike Arnold scores to give Potsdam a 3-1 lead over Geneseo with about 15 minutes left in the third.

I do remember a post from Remy last week that there were more Platty fans (15-20) than people in the whole building. I know Platty travels well, but yeesh.

I am not around much, but is there always this much Fredonia bashing?

Geesh. Easy target, I guess.

Potsdam killed off two successive penalties. Still 3-1 over Geneseo. 5:54 left.

Students weren't back, yet or were just coming back. When the students aren't there, it does get pretty empty. But when they are there, they still get good crowds.

Just look at how some Laker fans refer to a group of seniors who have been to three straight final fours and won close to a 100 games as inconsistent. As you get the glass half empty mentality around here.

I always tell people games are a lot harder to win on the road, but I always fall into the trap when I see Fredonia. I guess its credit to them to stay in these and win a lot of these games.

2:44 left. Geneseo going on a power play. The Ice Knights called a time out. Geneseo pulled their goalie for a two-man advantage!

It works. de Jersey scores to cut the lead. Potsdam - 3, Geneseo - 2. Still over two minutes to go.
