Re: 122 Franchises Ranked Bottom to Top:
101. Kansas City Chiefs
a.k.a Dallas Texans
Why?...Although a decent team in recent years, the Chiefs have gone through long stretches of losing and bad playoff play.
The Good….Won Super Bowl IV
The Bad....Three playoff wins since that moment.
The Ugly...with head coaches like Marty Schottenheimer and current head coach Andy Reid at the helm, you now understand why the Chiefs are terrible in the playoffs.
Where they play? Arrowhead Stadium, and old, loud building. Part of the Truman Sports Complex with the Royals adjacent Kauffman Stadium nearby.
Owner: Hunt Family, with Clark Hunt as CEO. Lamar Hunt applied for an expansion franchise in the NFL in 1959 and was denied, he gathered other investors to help form the AFL in 1960. Hunt’s team was the Dallas Texans, however he was losing ground to the new NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, hence the move to Kansas City in 1963 as the Chiefs.
Coach: Andy Reid, full time head coach and part-time Kool Aid Man, Reid is considered one of the best regular season coaches out there but a below .500 playoff coach.
Top Current Players: Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Alex Smith, and Marcus Peters
Hall of Famers…Len Dawson, Lamar Hunt, Bobby Bell, Willie Lanier, Buck Buchanan, Emmitt Thomas, Derrick Thomas, Will Shields.
