About 4 stops on the QLine
Joe Louis was downtown also, so what's the difference?

Raiders should lose points for allowing tuck rule to happen
Which started it all...

I never took the opinion Oakland should be crucified for that... LOL
But I have always believed without that ruling (the biggest BS ruling in the history of sports), the dynasty doesn't turn out quite the way it did.
I blame Mo Lewis more.
18. Baltimore Ravens
Why? A team named after a poem, nevermore.
Yeah, but it's a cool poem!
And a cool nickname.
However, just don't tell Baltimoreans that Poe actually wrote The Raven in NYC, and not his hometown of Baltimore. True story.

He died in Boston, too.
we all die in Boston.....

17. Boston Red Sox
Top Current Players: Mookie Betts, Chris Sale, and Wally the Green Monster
LOL
Not that I ever want to give any Red Sox any credit or mention, but no Hall of Famers...?
A feud between Frazee and American League President Ban Johnson had a lot to play in this. Johnson did not care for Frazee, and Frazee was critical of Johnson on how he handled the league during World War I. In the summer of 1919, Red Sox starter Carl Mays left the team complaining of a lack of run support. Johnson ordered Mays suspended, Frazee in turn sold Mays to the Yankees. The Mays situation put the American League in two camps, one side involving the Red Sox, Yankees, and White Sox. The other side involving the remaining five teams or “The Loyal Five”. “The Loyal Five” were fiercely on Johnson’s side leaving Frazee to deal with only the White Sox and the Yankees.
While Babe Ruth was Boston’s biggest star, he was also uncontrollable. Frazee was all set to trade Ruth to the White Sox for “Shoeless” Joe Jackson. However, Jackson was banned from baseball after the “Black Sox” scandal. With the White Sox reputation shot, when Frazee wanted to unload all of his talent, the only offers were coming from the Yankees.
Fenway Park, often mistaken for a toilet is the oldest ballpark in the league.
This is fascinating. I didn't know 90% of this.
I'm going to (literally, as you'll see) hold my nose and defend Sawx Nation. Fenway Park is the best park in baseball. It is absolutely true that it smells like a toilet (this is literally true, not Boston hate -- the only place I've ever seen/otherwise sensed that was worse was the old Durham Bulls park where for fifty years people used to relieve themselves under the bleachers. That was a Urine 10, Fenway is a Urine 7. Fenway smells like the NY subway system in 1977).
But... Fenway is exactly how a ballpark ought to LOOK. Wrigley is a distant second and nobody else deserves consideration since they tore down Tiger Stadium.
So, to review. Boston: meh. Bostonians: pathetic losers. Fenway: a nearly perfect gem.
