I agree, all those team in the top 10 lets say ,are a goal or a bounce apart from what I have seen....or a goal scored with no time left on the clock:eek::D:confused:

Plymouth St will get a crack at the big boys in a few weeks in Oswego, who knows,Oz hasnt had the greatest luck in their own tourny,and man Ply St has guys from all over the country, nice......

I've seen both Utica and Oswego and there is no way I would put Utica above Oswego.

In understand the poll means nothing, believe me, after this week I fully understand that now.

However, after seeing both Oswego and Utica this year, how can you say you could never rank Utica above Oswego?

We've out-worked, out-skated and out-played Oswego, not to mention it was at Oswego...

I just do not understand what else we're going to have to do to prove that we should be ranked higher and are better than Oswego. I guess we'll just have to beat them again at home, maybe then everyone will get the point, but even then I'm not sure that the voters and others will. Even non-Oswego fans said they were shocked Utica went nowhere in the polls. It's just ridiculous.

Maybe if Oswego wasn't one of the select few favorite teams in D-III, Utica might get some respect for once. They want us to beat the New York Rangers or something? What more do you want from us this season. Same record & we've beaten them should equal a higher ranking.

whos on first and whats on second,third base..thats about what these polls mean now,less then half the season played,some teams are just getting there _ _ it together and then there is the injuries all teams have, that said wait until the end of the year to go crazy over these polls, and even then its the men in the smoke filled rooms that figure out who goes where and why, and NOBODY can figure that out:D,except maybe Norm with a link or 2, but as another poster said win and your in....and as Al Davis said "just win baby". Chill and enjoy the holidays:D

Im not going to argue rankings..I do that too much on the D3 Football boards...what I will say is that UC is a good team.
Dont sweat the small stuff Pioneers#1...
Worry about beating the teams that UC needs to.
This is the year that they get an NCAA nod.
They look good, and need to take care of biz, but Gary is happy so far!

Well said.

I'd say the only value these polls have at this time of year is for programs to try and entice recruits and convince alumni that the program is thriving.

Oh...and for us fans to argue amongst ourselves about who is ranked too high or too low.:rolleyes:

Maybe so but are we comparing Utica and Elmira right now? No...we're comparing two teams with relatively equal records (if not exactly equal) and if anything Utica has played a tougher schedule to date as well as owning a head to head road win over said team that is still ranked way higher than them.

That doesn't make one ounce of sense.
