Haven’t paid much attention to this story, but is this directly related to McCarthy’s vow to kick Democrats off committees in retaliation for Democrats kicking MTG off her committees last year?
 
The hypocrisy being shown regarding committee assignments for Omar and MTG is staggering. Pelosi was very measured and only took assignments away from members who directly threatened harm to other members. Omar never did that. Ever. MTG and Gosar both did this. Boebert did the same thing that Omar did and was not, through measured response, taken off of her committees.

We can't lose. The longer this goes on the more the Nazis show their true colors and the more our caucus bands together. They are cementing the Dems together. They are doing more for our morale than we could on our best day.

This is the problem with Second Wave Derp. The first wave was intelligent cynics using derp to harvest votes from perpetually poutraged conservative toddlers. But in the Second Wave, the toddlers themselves got elected. They actually believe their crap. So they have no idea that they are the crazy kid with the knife and all the other kids are horrified and disgusted.

Conservatism without misdirection is merely mob rule. The irony is the numbnuts who are always screaming we can't be a pure democracy because of the imbeciles are right. It's just they who are the imbeciles the Founders worried about.

I don’t disagree at all, but I remember saying then that I disagreed with the decision to punish MTG by kicking her off her committees, because I suspected Republicans would do the same once they retook the House. MTG wasn’t even in power to do anything at the time, and now she’s on the f-cking Oversight Commitee. I won’t claim to know whether those two things are connected, but she’s more powerful now than she ever was before, and that’s not a good thing for this country.

How bad was D turnout in NY last November?

2020: Santos got 161,931 votes and lost by 12.5%
2022: Santos got 145,,824 votes and won by 7.5%




That's fucking insane.
ALso insane, wait, this guy ran TWICE and never had any oppo research done? I'd bar every involved in NY politics from any kind of leadership meetings for a decade.
 
If we had a media who cared, they would be interviewing New Yorkers who voted for this idiot to ask them why they did that and how do they feel now that all this info is coming out.
