Jesus Christ. The speaker pro tempore kicked pelosi out of her office and told her her to move stuff before tomorrow when the office will be rekeyed.

she's in California for Feinstein's funeral.

More evidence that this isn't a serious group of people. They aren't here to govern, they aren't here to "reign in spending". They have embodied their leader: cruel, inarticulate, purposeless, self absorbed.

Progressives were on record already because he is a fraud, Liberals were annoyed over the Feinstein debacle and Centrists were out when he accused the Dems of wanting the shutdown meaning he negotiated in bad faith. He was on thin ice with the bs Impeachment stuff because he sold out the funding deal to try and keep the Qrazies happy and they kneecapped him anyways.

Whats going to be a killer for the GQP is that to find a way to win the job the Rep will need to find a way to either court the Dems because the GQP is divided or unite the warring factions. The Qrazies won't accept a candidate who might cut a funding deal and won't 100% try and take Biden down and the non-crazies (the ones out begging for a funding package and ripping Impeachment either in public or behind the scenes) want none of that. I don't know who they find to unite both parts (Emmer maybe but he sucks as a whip) but if it is Stefanik or another Trump Qrazy we might see a full on fight on the floor!

Not to mention Gaetz might not survive his removal vote...and this won't help.

Forget GOP courting the Dems….Dems should be pressuring the Republicans from the three most purple districts to switch parties….. Ladies and gents, meet your new chairpersons of HASC, Ways and Means, and Appropriations. Speaker Jeffries, the House is yours.
 
This organization is absolutely rudderless right now. We're going to hear a lot of ridiculous names bandied about. And one of them might even win.

This day gets better and better! Even without the civil war and the ensuing clown show that will be the nomination process...they are nominating a man under 4 different indictments who is the frontrunner for the GOP nomination for Speaker! They not only just imploded the House they kneecapped everyone else running for President because Trump is now going to dominate EVERY headline until such time as the Speaker is elected...if that ever comes. ITs bad enough for them he is discussed as much as he is but now it will be ten times worse.

At some point we're going to need to get a clear understanding from the parliamentarian (?) on what powers the SOTHPT actually has. Because I'm not sure this is within them. From what little I've read, they're supposed to act like a clerk whose purpose is to get a vote scheduled on the new SOTH.
