Speaking of "DEMS IN DISARRAY!11!1!!" I see the reports about both Harris and Sinema running toxic work environments have gone public this week. Seems like it's always female pols who get this sort of press. I wonder why?

Well, ya see, they're shrill.

(Remember Klobuchar throwing ring binders?)

Gandhi missed the fifth step for women

First they ignore you
Then they laugh at you
Then they smear you
They they fight you
Then you win

I just noticed something interesting: when you try to leave a narcissist, they follow the same regimen. Maybe that's a great way to think about toxic masculinity as an entity: it is a narcissist. It has just gotten its way for 6000 years. Now, confronted, it is following the standard operating procedure of a narcissist to try to maintain its dominance and its hold over both women and the men who have broken free of it.

To be fair Klobuchar is a pain to work for...she has issues dealing with stress. She is A+ at her job though which is why no one cares.

I would guess most pols have stress issues...Women just get ousoutted more cause Men are awful.

The next great Socio-Economic Revolution will be American, and it won't go the way of the French, Russian, or Chinese. It will preserve life and rights, but it will finally invert the relationship of capital and human life, with the former finally the servant of the latter. We can still have private stewardship of capital, we can still have private property -- I like my stuff too. But we cannot have human beings suffer because others are hoarders of resources. That will stop.

Nope. We all be awash in strontium-laced clouds before that happens.

Pelosi names Liz Cheney to the January 6 committee.

Priceless!!

And that dickless McCarthy weasel is pissed - claiming Cheney is choosing between "us and them". The Rethuglican party doesn't care about anyone but the 1%. That so many people willingly vote for that is astounding.

If only it were just stupid people.

In other news, Charles Booker, who almost surpassed Amy McGrath at the last second in the primary so he could lose to McConnell by 18 points in the KY Senate race, is running for Rand Paul’s Senate seat. I was hoping he’d wait for McConnell to retire or die so he could take on Daniel Cameron, but I’m starting to think Cameron may run for Governor against Beshear in 2023. I guess we’ll see.

Unlike most other GOP who are bragging about the increase in funding coming to their communities through the American Rescue Plan, despite their votes against it, McConnell prefaces his response with the fact that no GOP voted for it. I haven't been able to find a full clip of it, so who knows if he goes on to say that it's actually a bad thing because of the deficit/taxes/etc.

"I didn't vote for it, but you're going to get a lot more money."

Looks like the buzz on the street for the pay-fors of the bipartisan infrastructure bill, and hopefully the Democratic reconciliation bill, is reviving the Department of Energy’s Loan Program Office. Manchin apparently seems excited about the prospect, since the loans generally pay for themselves.

5 of the 11 GOP Senators who worked on the bipartisan infrastructure deal now might vote against it. I am (not) shocked.

These aren't the loans LWT highlighted are they?

I’ve racked my brain and cannot come up with who or what LWT stands for. It’s the same loan office that provided a loan to Solyndra, and apparently hasn’t made one since. That said, according to the report, the default on such loans was 3%, which sounds pretty solid to me.
