Meet your 2018 front-runner for the GOP nomination for US Senate from California:

“I propose a government that makes counter-semitism central to all aims of the state, all immigration except of biological kin, where no person of Jewish origin may live, vacation or traverse.”

Patrick Little has a 10-point lead.

Well all 4 people who would have voted for Michael Savage needed a replacement candidate.

If mookie is that hard up I will be glad to forward his contact info to all the spambots from the Philippines, Korea and Thailand that keep trying to spread their pornography and casino ads on this site.

So basically, if the Senate ever starts reflecting the partisan makeup of the states, a neutral partisan landscape would translate to a filibuster proof Republican majority. That's a happy thought.

Kind of. If things never changed, 100 million high school educated welfare recipients would always hold sway over 200 million college educated tax payers.

But things do change. Red states only get redder as they fail. Those that succeed will get bluer and bluer with more education and diversity and just plain better ethics.

That's why the Constitutional Convention is the conservative wet dream.

Remember, New England thought of it first, but then a time traveler told them about the World Series and they planted the seeds of baseball avoiding the South for decades.

Where did I state that it was only Dixietard states that were waking up to a wet spot after dreams of secession?

538 does its usual amazing job breaking down the 2018 and future Senate races.

It should be subtitled: "we need to get rid of the Senate."

I like 538, but they missed the mark here or it was written by Scooby to get a rise out of people.

If we're using Presidential elections as our benchmark, Dem won 30+ seats in 92 and 96, 20 maybe in '00 and '04, 28 in 08, 26 in 12, and 21 maybe in '16. Far from a GOP lean what I see is a competitive map made up of multiple states that have backed either the GOP or Dems over that time even if we excluded 92 due to the Perot factor, we still have (NH, PA, VA, NC, GA, FL, WV, AR, TN, LA, MO, IN, MI, OH, WI, CO, NV, AZ) at the very least and include ME and NE if you factor in the 1 electoral vote that each side has one from those states. Now I don't expect Dem to start winning in LA, AR or WV again (Clinton in '96) but it proves that the right Dem candidate can prevail for Senate (Manchin) or Gov (Edwards) because voting Dem isn't foreign to these people unlike in say Utah or South Carolina.

It's math, man. Math > political narratives.

Which.....I just demonstrated when I showed you all of the states that have gone back and forth over the last 25 years....

The point of the 538 article is we've been lucky outperforming expected leans.
