The only way this is ever going to change is if the next 40 or 50 targets of mass shootings are clearly aimed at right-wing conservatives. White, Christian churches, shooting ranges, Lee Greenwood concerts, lets see 5 or 600 people shot dead there in 50 mass shootings and see if the gun nuts don't want some strict laws. As noted below, Ronald Reagan, with the blessing of the NRA, signed gun control laws in California to combat scary black people arming themselves.

The politicians we've elected (or who stole their seats via gerrymandering and voter suppression) have made our country a laughingstock. I'd wish eternal d a m nation for all of them, but I have more sympathy for the Devil than some of the pols currently in office.

Given that cops got shot, how do you think a single armed guard would have gotten though? Probably would have been the first shot.

But the situation now would call for many armed guards at every single event, not a banning of guns. We will be in a police state, for our own good. Given how many people are calling for that instead of the far more logical elimination of arms that can do this kind of damage, that's going to be the suggestions.

Which would really benefit the gun manufacturers a lot. Who are represented by the NRA.

This is indeed leading to a police state, which is utter BS. Ugh. We cannot control our emotions as a society. Even more ugh. It sickens me.

And easy solution- control the weapons that are used to kill a lot of people.

They are not. And unfortunately, individuals' actions are leading to actions that govern the masses. It's sad.

How many individuals equal a mass? Because I think we're hitting a point where the actions of a mass of people are leading to actions governing the masses.

You have attackers on the right and left (mostly right, don't try and "get" me there). Still a minority considering the population. We should not be a police state, and if we do become one....you think the "right" is bad? You just wait. Gonna get worse in a police state.

And left? Where? So far I see bombs and a synagogue shooting all done by right wing nutjobs. Please though. Continue the false equivalency game.

The left never advertised a single false flag claim for that softball game. Bernie (who the attacker was a supporter of) condemned it immediately. Everyone on the left stood in solidarity condemning what happened.

In other words, your comparison is ****ING BULL****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My original point still stands. The right didn't condemn the left as a whole for that individual's actions. Unlike what is happening now. Lone. Effing. Wolf.

They couldn't cause the Left wasn't out planting false flags and conspiracies all over the ****ing place.

They could have classified the whole left as having that attitude. They didn't. Next? Right now, the left are hypocrites. Don't judge a group on the basis of one. Yet, here they are, judging.

One? I had a list today of over 15 false flag claims. That's not one. Everyone at the rally screamed "Lock Her Up" about a woman who had a bomb sent to her to kill her.

None of that happened at a left rally held by Clinton on her campaign.

Stop the false equivalence.
