People can change; I did (after breaking free from Catholic schools) and so did dx. However we're in the minority, especially among men.

Now that the intellectual poison they've spent 4+ decades helping to spread has come back to bite them, I just don't believe anything Kristol, or any other pundit does or says is sincere. I agree this makes me a cynic, but I don't care - sue me. Republicans especially do not deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I never said it fully believe him...its just depressing that he is willing to say what the Democrats refuse to.

I got yelled at by a Dem staffer on Bluesky because I ripped the Dems for being do nothings and ripped people like him for accusing us of only ripping Dems because Bluesky is an echo chamber. When I posted actual facts about why the Dems are worthless he disappeared. All of it started because a Black Man ripped a Dem Rep for only focusing on the tax cuts of the bill and ignored ICE completely.

The Dems still don't believe immigration is a winning issue even though voters (especially minorities) tell them otherwise. If they lose the Midterms that will be a huge reason why.

It was built in eight days on disused county/state property that is flat from previously being an airfield.

For on site resources, medical isn't even listed. But clergy is. Gotta make sure you give everyone last rites after they catch Malaria.

I also question the 24hr A/C. That in the guard shacks only?


*Edit* Doubling back on the eight days bit, DeSantis slapped this together so he could get that sweet, sweet DHS money in the "Big, Beautiful Bill." So let it be known that for our growing homelessness crisis, they could also provide temporary housing, but refuse to because it isn't profitable.

It's sadly what I expected but hoped I was wrong about.

Even the fucking guards there knew Garcia wasn't a gang member and to keep him separated from the gangs.

A lot of this is going to be buried as a "national security" risk (despite being made public already) and its going to boil down to a he-said/she-said.

Why is that Trump makes an antisemitic slur and it is completely ignored by the media but people make up that Zohran said something (which isn't antisemitic) and he is still being attacked over it?
