Why does the SEA stadium look like it was made piecemeal and not in a good way? It's ridiculously ugly.

Hope the U.S. doesn't have any more games scheduled there.

And yes I am bitter the Twin Cities didn't get a sniff of this WC despite the fact it would have been a fantastic host in every imaginable way.
What are you talking about?

Seattle is the center of soccer and USMNT fandom.

I don't even know if the Twin Cities even put in a bid. And they are probably glad they never got it. Just ask Chicago and Montreal. Saved millions for their taxpayers.

If the USMNT wins their group and their R32 game, then their R16 game is in Seattle. So, suck on it. :)

Lumen Field is a place of nightmares for Minnesota soccer. It undoubtedly affects his opinion. :ROFLMAO:

Lumen Field has been consistently rated as one of the best stadiums in the tournament too.

Impressive second half by Haiti, but this was over at halftime. Brazil might be regretting not getting more than three tonight.

Brazil ahead of Germany by two goals for most all time in the World Cup.

Haiti is also the first team eliminated.

So CONCACAF has the first two teams moving on (Mexico and US) and the first team eliminated (Haiti).

Oh did I hurt your feewings? Get over it. Fact is it's an ugly stadium and fan turnout would be spectacular no matter where they play. Que sera sera

@ JJ - I don't follow MLS, but Seahawks fans are massive douchebags. ;)

VAR Red Card after Miguel Almiron covered his mouth while saying something to an opponent.

That was one of the new things added to the Laws for this World Cup.

USMNT have won the group. Will play Round 32 in Santa Clara on 1 July.
Turkey are eliminated.
Do we know which group's #2 we play? That should narrow it down a lot.

Edit: Round 32? Oh Christ, there are more than 8 groups aren't there? Shite.

Aha:

After Paraguay's win clinched Group D for the U.S. men's national team, it will face the third-place team from either Group, B, E, F, I or J in the Round of 32. But the scenario keeps the range of possibilities for USA's opponent wide open. Here are the teams from those groups, listed in order of their place in the standings as of Friday night:

  • Group B: Canada, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar
  • Group E: Germany, Côte d'Ivoire, Ecuador, Curaçao
  • Group F: Sweden, Japan, Netherlands, Tunisia
  • Group I: Norway, France, Senegal, Iraq
  • Group J: Argentina, Austria, Jordan, Algeria

I assume The Plan is to avoid F and I and steer for J?
