Every time, I think to myself "pulling the goalie works WAY more often than it should"
In round Robin play, it was 5 minutes, then shootout. In the bronze it was 10, then shootout. They said this is going to be 20. My guess is then shootout. But a scoreless 20 minutes of 3-on-3 is pretty unlikely.Ugh I am going to find out about the end of this game in a meeting. It’s ok. #forthegame #casualfans #hockeyisforeveryone
Is 3 v 3 OT till the end? Or do shootouts ever come into play?
Not to worry, USA USA USA USA 2-1 in OTIn round Robin play, it was 5 minutes, then shootout. In the bronze it was 10, then shootout. They said this is going to be 20. My guess is then shootout. But a scoreless 20 minutes of 3-on-3 is pretty unlikely.
The most defense I've ever seen Murphy play!Just coming here to talk about the Abbey Murphy backcheck on Watts early in overtime. Kept the US alive before the goal.
Her back checking on the breakaway was awesom! The most defense I've ever seen Murphy play!
jk LOL
Some redemption on the tying assist anyway.Yep - hate being right in this instance.
Announcers tried to soften it with the "odd bounce" but she was in the wrong position regardless and didn't react quickly.
On the bright side, it seems to have woken us up and we're playing better. Just gotta finish one.
How about Team Canada's men's coach John Cooper? He's a licensed attorney who never played hockey!!Not bad for having a coach who has very little coaching experience
Edit; sarcasm, in case you couldn’t pick up on that
Yes.Some redemption on the tying assist anyway.
I think if you are talking just this game, you make an argument - but when you talk tournament MVP, I think KK is right.I'm sure Caroline Harvey is a deserving MVP but I don't see how Aerin Frankel doesn't get the hardware. She kept the US in this game (that save on Fillier was unbelievable) giving Knight the opportunity to tie it and Keller to win it. No matter. The girls are golden once again.
Oh my! 2 worlds collide. We have something in common, huge Sirens fans.my New York Sirens fandom.
(Technically, coaches do not receive Olympic medals.)Another former Badger gets a medal. Cyndy Kenyon, a member of the first National Championship Team in 2006 gets a bronze as an assistant coach with Switzerland.
