BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

Among NU guys currently in the NHL Gaudette is third in games played, fourth in total points, and first in goals scored. So I think it’s fine to say he’s one of your best guys in the league.

I know it was just an exhibition and BC looked very good but it is concerning as to who did not play. Jellvik and Gasseau were still out. Also Hemming, Moore and Traeger did not play leading to a 2 man 4th line. Skahan interestingly was seen playing a forward just like Michael Hagens has done. Michael Hagens has vastly improved his forward play scoring a nice goal on a feed across the front of the net. He was very noticeable handling the puck well throughout the game. Providence will be a very tough test so let's hope they have a full squad healthy.

They did look good. The announcers didn’t seem to think Moore and Traeger would be long and Hemming is fine, just travelled a lot? Maybe went home, but he’s fine. Gasseau? They “.hope” lol. Jelvik? Not even worth it at this point. If we see him again, it’s an an unexpected add.

I watched bits of the exhibition in between the Maine game and Oregon getting smashed into oblivion. I don't know what to make of it but winning easily with a makeshift lineup is better than losing and should help them get back into the schedule. I did catch the small segment where they talked about some of the guys that were missing. Gallanty was very adamant that Gasseau coming back is imminent which lines up with the surgery/January return that was reported months ago by Mark Divver. But when he got to Jellvik, he just said he's still week-to-week and quickly moved on. It did not inspire confidence to me personally but again, I think you go it without him and if he comes back and is 100% you add him back into the mix but not until he's 100%. Sounds like Moore was sick (I think a lot of teams are dealing with the various crap going around locker rooms and even half my household is dealing with it) but that wasn't great timing with the news that his OHL rights were traded and gives those folks something to work with for another week now.

As it is now, BC is the highest NPI team in the league at 15, just a smidge ahead of PC. Powerhouse NU is the 7th best team in the league in NPI; it looks like navy44 may have to wait a while longer before NU wins their first game in the NCAA tournament since the Reagan administration.

15 BC
16 PC
18 Yukon
20 BU
21 UNH
24 Maine
28 NU

Should be an interesting 2026 in the league, we cannot have one team in the tournament, that just would not be acceptable.

Next up for BC is Providence, who has a rematch with Maine tonight. All things considered after a terrible October, they are positioned nicely at the top of the league standings and NCAA bubble and will bring almost a completely different (better) team into 2026 than they had in most of 2025. I'm bullish on this squad.

It was mentioned by someone at an Eagle Skate, Jelvik was by himself and not really mixing with the kids or anyone. If he's injured can he redshirt and play next year ?
