UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

After tomorrow, the upcoming schedule is absolutely brutal. BC x 2, Maine, Minnesota State, St. Cloud/Yale, UConn x 2, BU x 2, Maine x 2, UMass x 3.
 
Bad: This is the 5th time Lowell has been shutout in back-to-back games.
Worse: The previous 4 times were among the 14 worst seasons in program history.

1991-92 (11-19-4 - 12th worst in program history)
2005-06 (14-20-2 - 14th worst in program history)
2010-11 (5-25-4 - worst in program history)
2023-24 (8-24-4 - 3rd worst in program history)

Seeing that upcoming schedule doesn't give me much faith that this team isn't going to add to the "worst seasons" in program history.
 
I've said it repeatedly for years that I wasn't thrilled that we didn't change our recruiting strategy once we got our name on the national stage. Providence immediately changed theirs, as did UMass. We continued with what we had been doing. We've been surpassed because of it.
