UMass Lowell 2025-2026: Youth will be served

I know two of the games were neutral sites, but for this purpose, I'm counting them as road games.

Lowell is 6-8 overall this season, 35 GF 38 GA.

On Friday's, they're 2-6, 13 GF 22 GA. At home, they're just 1-2 on Fridays, scoring 5 goals, giving up just 4 (but they've only scored 1 goal in two of those games combined).
On Saturday's, they're 4-2, 22-16 goals. On the road (including neutral games) they're 3-1, scoring 17 while giving up 9.

In other words, I don't have much hope for tonight. :ROFLMAO:

16 games played, in 9 of them Lowell has scored 1 goal or less.

More stats ...
The last time we won the HE Tournament Title (2016/2017 season), in league play Lowell averaged 3.45 GPG while giving up 2.32. Overall, Lowell scored 3.68 GPG and gave up 2.32 in their 41 games that season.

Just sticking with that time frame since I looked at Coach Bazin's record earlier for that time frame, in the last 5 years in league play, we are averaging just 2.25 GPG over these 4+ seasons while giving up 2.58. Overall, 2.47 GPG while giving up 2.60.

To help understand those numbers more and really show the dearth of offensive prowess, Lowell averaged about 36 games the last four full seasons. Based on the great season (16/17) and compared to the last 4 years, we've only given up 10 goals a game more per year in all games. But using those same averages the other way, we've scored 43 less goals per year. That's ... astounding.

I think the effort was better tonight, yet the final score was still the same. Think Cloutier definitely made some big stops; they certainly had their chances.

Do BC fans not care much about non-BU games? I got my ticket for $3 on the secondary market and saw dozens listed for $5 or under. Plenty of empty seats there too

I watched the game on ESPN+ and I also thought the Hawks had plenty of chances. They just need to convert them. The team is also taking too many penalties. Another major last night. I believe that was the 3rd in the last 4 games. The passing also needs to improve.

The blind passes thinking players are there NEEEEEED to stop, especially on the power play. Killed any momentum on PP on Friday. Did anyone else think that the refs let BC get away with a TON of stuff behind and after the play? Hagens cross checked someone in the face after a turnover with no call... and they called Ahearn for roughing when he was cross checked to the ice?

It's exam time and I'd be cramming for exams or finishing up projects if I was a BC student. High school super bowl games, etc. The resellers buiy up a lot of the tickets and charge usury fees. Why pay $50 - $60 for a ticket on face value $20 to $25 ? I am not paying $300 for Beanpot tickets in the balcony when schools used to be allotted tickets to sell to their fans.
