The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
T-Swizzle's new album streamed at midnight last night. Pretty sure there's only like three Swifties on this board so I won't dwell. Solid B on the first listen. The bouncier beats have a yacht rock flavor to them.
Honestly was more excited about seeing Cascada perform live last night. Still regaining my hearing and my millenial knees are reminding me that them AND "Everytime we Touch" are both 20 years older than when they first bopped to that song.
Cascada still has it. So glad to have gotten (almost) front row tickets.
A band where any attack is guaranteed to get at least one butt-hurt response just shows they benefited from aggressive marketing to impressionable people with poor impulse control. The perfect consumer.
There's a few songs that have influence. Obviously Father Figure and George Michael (credited). Actually Romantic has a Weezer sound to it. Wood has a Jackson 5 sound to it. Everything else has a bouncy soft rock feel (very Yacht Rock sounding).
And the overall theme, the life of a showgirl (glitz and glamor of Elizabeth Taylor, the struggle of owning her masters with Father Figure, the connecting with a lover in Wood, and the title track to end the album) all make it feel like its "Journey - Faithfully (42 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)."
