NFL 25-26: Blame The Refs for this Thread Title

Ma
It would be better if he had some better blocking ahead of him. Not many QB's can operate under consistent pressure like that. He could have been hurt just like Burrow was.
Maybe they can have Darrisaw come back just before JJ so he has a non-ass tackle.

Isaiah Rodgers with an outrageous first half. An interception, 2 forced fumbles, 2 touchdowns.

But maybe more impressive is Nate Burleson’s look.

CFL is Americanizing.

Uprights to the back of the end zone.
End zones shortened from 20 to 15 yards.
Field shortened from 110 to 100 yards.
35 second automatic play clock rather than the 20 on the signal (this is a good one)

Thankfully the best rule in sports will still exist, but is changing. No more rouges for a missed FG or kicks that go through the end zone. Now it needs to come to rest or be downed within the end zone.

Wonder how much of those rule changes are at the behest of the owners trying to increase revenue? Shortening the end zones to add more seats?

A couple people on Reddit have the theory that it could be the beginnings of a UFL/CFL merger.

Myself, I thought it was a way to orient stadiums to host American games for more NFL preseason after the issue they had in Winnipeg with GB and Oakland. Or a possible NFL team full time, though Vancouver is the only stadium capable at the moment now that Toronto moved out of the Skydome and the Blue Jays changed the setup. Maybe Montreal once the Olympic Stadium renovations are finished.
