I would side with dx re the difficulty of the shot. I think it is not (that) hard and there are likely many people who could do it. I think the hunting stories really depend on your group. Hunting in my youth, our group almost exclusively used slug shotguns or bolt action rifles. Many 100+ yard, 1 shot deer kills from the group. I am no hunter but I shot a moving deer at ~125 yards with a pump action shotgun (slug round of course and I did spend a lot of time at the range).

Now the group on the property next to us sounded like a John Wick movie. Often deer would run over from that side after we would hear 10+ shots from their group.

Hey, if the anger shown by Republicans or Republican-leaning voters from this, technically not even a mass shooting, results in bipartisan gun legislation at the federal level, so we can finally close the stupid “But Chicago” fucking loophole, I’m all for it. If they make it strong enough that it eventually results in gun deaths close to the mean of other developed countries, Trump can name it the “Charlie Kirk White Male Nationalism Christianity First Act”, and I’ll be banging the drum for Democrats to vote for it.
The fact that one of our centrist voters on here has previously blamed lack of meaningful gun legislation being passed in this country on Democrats’ lack of political will, says all I need to know on the aforementioned scenario coming to fruition.
