Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

Honestly, that's what I believe is behind what is going on in the middle of the country. Lots of worshipers are losing their farms, and to who? Probably large corporations to control more of the food supply.
Billionaires are buying farmland. Bezos and Gates anyway own a ton.

But I was told that Billionaires have enough money and couldn't want any more and are graciously patriotic and wanting to move mountains to just make life better for everyone?

No?

All they want is more money and everyone else can fuck off if they aren't making the Billionaires richer?

Oh.

😉

Not just farmland either. Land, housing, intellectual property, basically anything and everything that they can get their hands on. They want to own and control everything.
Well good luck to them when all of their distressed assets never rebound. If you own every business in town but no on in town fan afford to patronize your business, rent your property, fund the local government with tax dollars that previously subsidized your industry...

If they own everything, they control everything. That’s what they want. They want you and I as nothing more than neofeudal serfs, completely beholden to them for everything.

Oh target.

Their ceo is being promoted, makes total sense. He’s going to be the chairman of the board, for all the idiots who think they may change their tone- he’ll be the guy the ceo reports to
Wat. I thought he was stepping down in February lol

Are we sure it’s not him already being CEO and chair and then taking on chair until a new CEO has time to get in the job? Our former CEO was chair for like six months or something like that.

What good is controlling everything if there's no money to be spent by the peasants? Billionaires don't fund each other.

Controlling worthless assets is worthless depending upon your reach and overall holdings. Read up on the Great Depression. While many of the wealthiest survived or even thrived (Boeing, Chrysler, etc.) a very good % did not. ffs over 7,000 banks failed.

Because they would control literally everything. If you want a job, you can only work for them. Need a place to live? You can only rent from them. You want to eat? You go to the grocery store they own, to buy food that was grown on their farms. You drive their cars, you use their phones, you vacation at their resorts etc. They want to control everything.

Oh no they might only have $100 billion...

These people are to big to fail brother.

We either tax them to high heaven or they will never even notice.

These people have more than banks. Billionaires wont even blink at a depression.

They arent in this to provide a service...they are in it to have it all. If everything else burns they don't care.

After they rape us they will get good press setting up a charity to give back 1% of it like the Robber Barons.

Sounds like you loaded sixteen tons

I'm not talking about the 8 total centibillionaires. Of course they're going to survive.

And of course we have to tax the FUCK out of them but 1) The Dems have to take Congress back and 2) The Dems have to actually stop being beholden the same lobbyists that have led to the top tax rates being cut since Reagan.

That did happen following the Great Depression but we're a long ways from that at the moment.

Target CEO Brian Cornell is stepping down after 11 years at the retailer, as the company faces slumping sales and backlash to its retreat on DEI.

Cornell’s departure was widely expected. Some industry analysts believed Target should bring in an outside voice to lead the company, but it opted for an internal candidate: Cornell will be replaced on February 1, 2026, by Michael Fiddelke, Target’s current chief operating officer. Fiddelke started as an intern at Target and has been at the company for 20 years.

Fiddelke was chosen from a “strong list of external and internal candidates,” Cornell said on a call with analysts Wednesday, adding that he is the “right candidate to lead our business back to growth.”

Cornell will stay on as executive chairman. He took over in 2014 and revitalized Target, overseeing a strategy to remodel stores and strengthen the chain’s online business to compete with Amazon.

Bluesky is no longer operational in Mississippi due to a new internet age verification law they passed. Bluesky has opted to not spend resources or money on developing a foolish age verification system and instead is blocking access to its service in Mississippi similar to how Pornhub has reacted to similar laws in other conservative states.

Since JFK actually.

The 25 years between 1935 and 1960 built the greatest economy and the strongest middle class in world history. Before the rich wrecked our economy it truly was the best in the world. But the top 6,000 families could not be satisfied with $100M-500M, they wanted billions, so they fucked every other person in the country to get it.

Take it all. They got a full lifetime on the public dime in their tax loophole hammock. Just take it all. The rest of the country needs to be made whole again.
