Is it Nordic Noir? I love that style.

It is. I'm a big fan of that style as well, although my wife is not. She's not a big fan of anything with subtitles, because she likes to be doing other things while watching and subtitles kind of makes that difficult. Also, she hated Marcella so I don't think I'm going to get her back into these series, although she slightly followed along with last night's episode of The Investigation. Hopefully it will turn out to be good so she gets back into them.

The first episode of HBO's The Investigation was pretty good, imho. It's a dramatization of a true life crime story out of Finland from a few years ago in which the cops had to unravel a pretty complicated murder.

I haven't seen that but a few 3-part series from across the pond I'd recommend. The first is not based upon a true story but the subsequent two are:

The Dublin Murders
Des (with David Tennnant)
Rillington Place (with Tim Roth)

Def want to check that out, esp after spending time in Finland a few years ago

Dammit - you're right. I thought there had already been 3 but when I googled, "next season killing eve" and only saw information on S3 I overrode my memory. In digging now S4 is approved but from what I can tell filming hasn't yet started?

Not sure. They're sure going to make one. Don't know when, or when it comes.

Not Finland, Denmark, you heathen!

He’s in quite a lot of stuff. He was in Descendants, a Disney Channel movie my wife and daughter love.

Jared Keeso, the creator who plays Wayne, was known for his dramatic roles. He played a lead in a CBC cop show called 19-2 for a few years and played Don Cherry in a couple of movies.

Dang num it
mookie finished up season 4 of the crown, then reads he’ll have to wait until into 2022 for the next episode........

WandaVision.

2 episodes in, it may be Legion S1-level genius. It may just be Marvel doing its too clever by half thing. We'll see. So far, very promising.

Finally watching Ted Lasso. I love it!

My fave Sudekis role so far for him

I googled this because I thought I read he was the coach of the evil team. In the results I saw a post that said the ducks were the evil team thanks to Disney+.

wut?

Yeah the Ducks, after a generation of success, are now the jerkwad bad guys I guess. Bombay comes back to help out with a different team or something like that.

Dr. Mrs. is the same way. I watch few movies with her at home because that way of watching infuriates me.

Pretty sure all women are like that...when they have SOs anyways. I won't watch anything that requires a true attention span with my gf because we aint rewinding and I am not explaining the plot 12 times!

In that vein though we are watching The Good Place cause she never finished it. (I did) The first season is completely different when you know the twist. You notice little things that tip the hand but are so subtle you never really figure it out. We just started season 2...I think she made it through 3 and quit so she has no clue how it ends.

Is that the one about the school of all the kids of Disney characters or something? I have a friend whose daughter is obssessed with something like that.

Seriously? I was likely never to watch anyways but now I really have no reason to.

Dr. Mrs, and I are halfway through S4 in our second watch of the series. The entire series is different when you know how everything completes. There are millions of little things, not to mention how you react also materially changes.

It also makes you really appreciate the actors. In particular, D'Arcy Carden may be the most talented actor in TV history.
