2024-25 Schedules

I saw people on the Norwich thread talking about next year's schedule, and I thought, do they really have it posted already? So, I looked. Sure enough they do. The past two years, my alma mater has been the first one up. This time Norwich takes the prize.

So, let's start the schedule thread. Who cares if we haven't even finished this year's season? :-)

Plattsburgh only once! Very interesting!

also thats a bruuuuuuutal last 10 game stretch and theres no home and homes next year for the NEHC which is huge. I wonder which lucky team will get most of the good teams at home and whos gonna get screwed the most?

With Albertus and Salve in the NEHC it cuts the non conference games

Not a whole lot of wiggle room in Norwich schedule when you have 20 league games and play in two tournaments you've had for 20+ years. They had one non-league game to play with and chose a very quality CCC opponent in Curry. That's generally what they've done for opening up the season for getting to close to 10 years now is play a CCC school like Endicott, Salve Regina, UNE or Curry.

It's unfortunate, but appears like it will be a one-year problem as in 2025-26 they'll have a whole new scheduling system and hopefully will be back in the 18ish range for league games.

Interesting that they add fredonia twice for their non conference. We also now know Oswego becomes travel partners with Canton and Cortland becomes partners with Morrisville in the new sunyac (which was kinda expected but hey now it's confirmed) Canton is also now hosting a tournament with Potsdam and tufts I wonder who the 4th team will be? Also they're hosting ELMIRA on a Tuesday???? Why would Elmira ever agree to that

I hate, with a capital "H", when teams schedule conference opponents as nonconference games. I get it, but that's not an excuse. :-) I really hate it (with rare exceptions) when tournaments do it. And they do it again with an additional Canton game. So, three SUNYAC games that don't count, possibly four with the tournament.

The North Country Tournament typically alternates between Canton and Potsdam hosting it. Though, Canton hosted it last year, so I don't know anymore.

The Elmira game is during the between semesters break, so it doesn't matter that it's a midweek game.

Years ago everyone played a mid week game. Then also teams played 30-35 regular season games. Yes the mid week games were less than a 2 hr bus ride.

I get that it's a midweek game but in the era of saving money by doing less travel why would u drive all the way to Potsdam when brockport Morrisville buff state fredonia naz and he'll probably some of the Mac teams are all closer and equally not as good. Ain't this the same school we all thought was gonna close due to financials like 2 years ago?

As long as the budget is there, Aaron Saul has a personal connection with Potsdam, so probably is always willing to schedule them if Potsdam needs a game.
