Agree it was awful. But I thought Fensore was the best player on the ice both nights. Everyone else looked like they were counting down the days until they could turn pro.
Counting down the days they go to the ECHL.

Awful game, but who is actually surprised? Way too many mistakes and odd man rushes on defense, and precious few scoring chances on offense. Team came out flat and actually got worse as the game went on. Question: if Albie can't gameplan, motivate, or make in game adjustments, WHAT THE F IS HE DOING HERE?!? If nobody thinks he's the answer, do we really need an entire year of this?
Another variable not yet mentioned is the ice surface last night - it was HORRIBLE. Looked like both teams were playing on a slushie. It was 70 degrees all day and the ice making facilities there are mostly the same as when the place was built in the '70s, so it was a disaster. Most of the post-whistle scrums were not the result of cheap shots but players who just couldn't stop. The refs fell down at least 4 times, the puck bounced in some spots and died in others. Both teams had major issues with this and was a key factor in why neither could ever really set up an offense.

oh no, we stink again!!!
Anyone coming to Marquette, MI for the series in November?
I really wanted to but I have a work conflict. ::
That performance on Saturday was particularly disturbing. This isnt a typical BU team that averages 19 years old throughout the lineup Its a veteran team with alot of good players that should have something to prove going into the season. Not to mention the coach has already said this team has as much talent as anyone in H.E. (Anyone know his contract status?)
Somehow BU is ranked 12th

I think people underestimate the talent at UCONN. That is a pretty good team they have down there. Granted BU played like crap but I think a lot of teams will split vs UCONN. They are upper mid pack and the parity in Hockey East is at an all-time high. BU really needs a player or two to step up and be the man that can carry the team. Maybe it's Tuch or Brown but they need a player that will consistently deliver. The depth is there but is there a stud that will take over a game for us?
BU really needs more structure. They play a run and gun style it seems and rarely have puck possession in the Ozone. Seems like all there goals are on a rush dating back to last year while the opponent has Ozone time and plays keep away and cycles the puck which leads to more scoring chances and shots. BU must have given up a dozen odd man rushes this weekend alone. They need to play more conservatively on defense IMO.
Maybe its just me, but I was hoping for more than 3 goals on the weekend when you consider their forward group consists of UML's leading scorer, 2 first round picks, 2 seconds and 3 thirds. (All but one of which are returning players)
