Don't forget - if you're going to Agganis this weekend you need to bring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.

Don't forget - if you're going to Agganis this weekend you need to bring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.

In addition, per Agganis Arena's current policies (to complement the proof of vaccination or negative COVID test):
  • All ticketholders 18 years of age or older will also provide a valid form of ID (State Issued Driver’s License, State Issued ID Card or Passport)

First call he got was from BU asking for a donation!

As it should be.

Just before the 2016 NHL Entry draft, Bruins GM Sweeney was deciding whether to pick McAvoy or Fabbro, if both were available. He even asked Quinn for guidance. Made the right decision.

Friday games have been @7:30 for at least 5 seasons Scarlet. You’re losing it. : )

Tonight’s line chart. *EyeBulgeEmoji

It’s been so long!! I really am having a senior moment.

what is wrong with Cockerill??

Also, the swear chanting by the student section needs to stop.

So all that stuff I said about being an optimist....yeah, not so much right now.

How does NOBODY on this team think - maybe I should look for a guy to cover in the crease as someone tries a wrap around? Three Terriers and who gets to the puck? A Pioneer. Ball game.

Another simple play that epitomizes the lack of structure and a plan. A simple two on two while shorthanded. Peterson has the puck skating up ice through the neutral zone. He has a winger that is 15 feet ahead of him skating up along the boards, with nobody on him, wide open for a pass. Does Peterson pass? No, that would be the obvious play. He keeps skating with the puck so of course, the winger has to hit the brakes, and now we're down to a 1 on 2 since the winger has no momentum going into the zone. Why not pass to the winger? It would force the d to keep retreating rather than allowing them to stand up at the blue line. This is a basic hockey play that high schoolers know how to make. I swear that the sign of a good team is when players always push the puck up ice, even if the pass is only 5 feet. It keeps the puck moving and forces the defense to continually adjust. Teams with guys that are thinking about "how can I make a great play" are the ones that keep the puck in these situations, leading to...nothing.

If this team doesn't right the ship and win convincingly tomorrow night, then it is time to make a change at the top.

There needs to be some serious changes (I'm not talking about lines). The last four years there has never been any flow from BU. Never any o-zone possession. Always try to skate by everyone or dump it in and allow an easy breakout. This team looks worse than the team 2 years ago at times. Even last year, even though they were ranked high they did not look good at all. They always scored goals on a couple shots then parked the bus. I can't recall more than 2 good scoring chances tonight. This team seems lifeless and does not look like it has any capabilities to being a good team in Hockey East.

Got outplayed tonight and the better team won. BU has zero offensive flow and maybe had one scoring chance all game? Defensive zone coverage is soft at best. Talk about leaving the goalie out to dry - maybe just maybe cover the guy wide open in the slot? Team needs a wake up call….and fast.

Tonight was my first game back post Covid. Between the traffic getting into the city, the poor quality of concessions, the product in the ice and what I witnessed nearby as the overbearing mask police (and truly I’ve been about as Covid cautious as it gets), I may not be bothering with many games. Waste of a Friday night.

Box score attendance listed as 3,158? Ha!! No way.

Bottom line: not good enough. Simply not good enough. Embarrassing really.

So little team discipline. So little cohesion. So many stupid penalties. And to make matters worse, they got out-hustled all evening by a clearly inferior team that is playing its THIRD GOALIE. Yeah, the first two guys are hurt, and they got beat by a guy in a white helmet that had trouble holding on to his stick.

Too much individual play. Too much running around. A defense constantly out-of-position.

Oh, there is talent on this team. But very little team disciple.

If this were LSU football, they'd already be calling for Albie's head. And he didn't win a national championship two years ago.

Talk is cheap. I don't want to hear about what a great week of practice the team had, or how they are holding themselves accountable ... and then see that kind of rubbish display against a team that may not have a single player that BU would have recruited except as a walk-on.

Out-hustled and out-thought by a lower-level Atlantic Hockey league team playing its third string goalie.

BTW, the 3,158 most likely includes the season ticket holders who decided to stay home and watch the Sox.

Many more games like tonight and even the empty seats will decide not to come.

How come everyone in the building not playing has to wear masks, except for the Sacred Heart coaches? What makes them so special?
Even the BU coaches are wearing masks. And based on the Friday night performance by the Terriers, Albie and company are lucky to be hiding behind masks.

There is no evidence to indicate this team is being coached. And that's been true for the past three years. My son-in-law coaches a prep school hockey team and they play with more discipline and purpose - actually have PLAYS - than what I've seen under Albie's tenure. Sad.
