Honestly Washington and Oregon will be the ones to watch. East of the Cascades will just join Idaho but it’s the rural areas in the western parts that will turn into a s-show. Like I said, militia road blocks on freeways and highways. Seattle and Portland will likely make Belfast look like a paradise.
Seattle will be fine because the Rich people that live near there won't want to join the unwashed racists. They need the hippies to buy tech crap and Cletus can't be counted on.
Portland I have no clue about...
What will do the Red areas in most states in is the lack of people or the infrastructure to get what they need. The cities will cut them off from many of the trade routes by road and the lack of millions of people to pay taxes and fund their lives is going to starve them out sooner or later. I mean what will places like Lake Geneva, WI do without Chicago and Milwaukee? Hell what will most of Red Wisconsin do without Milwaukee or the tourism that comes from many of the Blue areas? Northern Minnesota will be worthless without Duluth and the TC area. (they will all starve without the Cidiot Socialism)
The Blue territories need to not get baited into a war. Just cut them off. They will have no way to peddle their wares and we will have all the money, better health care and a high standard of living. Canada and Mexico aren't going to go out of their way to help them (especially when they will get more value trading with us) and trade through ports will be difficult when the Gulf is on fire every 12 seconds. Flo(R)ida will survive because Di$ney won't let them fall but they will be dragged down by the rest of the Redneck Riviera and sooner or later they will treat them like UND treated the WCHA after the Big Ten formed. Texas likely goes independent when things go south.
Ultimately if this plays out right and there is no war the Blue will get back most of what was lost for pennies on the dollar and a new and improved Constitution. It will be an ugly 2 decades for some but as long as we learn from the mistakes of Reconstruction it will be a boon for those of us that are still around.
