NHL 2021: I Pledge Allegiance to Gritty

The logo is fine, the colors don’t bother me either, (neither are great). My issue has been and always will be the name. Good grief.

Also, they will not tell you it is a bear. They will also not tell you it is a cougar. All they’ll say is “It’s a wild animal.”

So Jamie Benn sticked some guys in the face, fought maroon and then a fan threw popcorn on him in the penalty box and he started screaming at them

The fans just wanted him to know it’s ok to eat in the box

Wait, we're talking about the main Wild logo, right?

You guys never saw the animal's head there?

Are......are you stupid or something?

:P

I could see thinking it was something besides a bear, but I can’t imagine not seeing anything at all. Why would an NHL team just have a jagged drawing of nature as a logo?

I've never understood the angst regarding the logo nor the name. The logo by itself is not great, but on a hockey sweater I think it works quite well and "wild" is obviously short for "wilderness" which not only does Minnesota have in abundance but so does the logo.

Meh

It's because a lot of Minnesotans are still bitter about the North Stars. I get it.

The North Stars were my team as well. As a kid that grew up playing hockey in MN the Gophers and North Stars were 1a and 1b in my heart. So I get that but I mean it's time to let it go. It sucks they left, but I give this franchise credit for trying to pay as much homage to the NS as the league allows. Although the Wild will never grab me like the North Stars did.

And Norm Green still sucks.

The name, the logo, the colors. All trash.

These were pretty -- could have used 50% less red.

The follow on team was always going to be a disappointment since they were replacing the best colors, sweater, and logo, and one of the best names, in all professional sports history. But, in the event, the Wild truly exceeded expectations with how atrocious they were. It feels like a deliberate aesthetic steamer.

Anything with the Wild looks best when the red is limited to the logo. Green and white/green and cream jerseys they’ve thrown out there lately have been good, and there’s close to zero red on them. By far their worst were their red alternates with the circle badge that became the regular homes.

better not be any more military jersey nights now

As a Queer:

If bigots don't want to wear the Pride jersey, I'm okay with that. But please spare me the speech about "I'm doing this for Jesus" and "I'm so awesome because I didn't display the rainbow flag. "
