Grand Unified Election Thread 2: What is the difference between Biden and Dump?

I just watched the end of that, and the thing that bothered me was the cops blocking that door, the seditionists were telling them to just go, they didn't want them to get hurt, just leave, they'd clear a path through the throng for them, and...........................they just did.

They just walked away and let those traitors have free reign to knock those doors down.

I wonder if they were instructed to move out of the doorway to make way for the more heavily armed officers who arrived on the scene basically at the same time. I am also betting the officers on the other side of the door were instructed to hold their fire as long as the doorway separated the enemy from getting access to members of Congress or any other Capitol staff, but if the doorway was breached to open fire. And as readily apparent, once deadly forced was used the threat, at least in that immediate area, was neutralized.

Has there been any official statement beyond "medical emergencies" about the other enemy combatants who died during the attempted coup? I read rumors that one died trying to rip a painting off the wall and he accidentally tased himself repeatedly, leading to a fatal cardiac arrhythmia. Another rocket scientist died falling off a wall he was attempting to scale when an easily accessible staircase was right next to him. Shooting some of those people may have been too kind.

Yeah, one was a stroke, one was a heart attack, and one was crushed in a crowd.

Well I think this interview gives a bit of a window into how Murkowski feels:

The violent Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol Wednesday were answering his call to avenge the election results, Murkowski said.

“People who were there to riot and who were encouraged that very morning by their president,” she said. “Yes, I think he was responsible.”

Also, she said, Trump is too preoccupied with his election loss to govern.

“If there is such chaos, if right now the president can’t focus on anything except his own anger,” she said, “then how do we assure America that we’re safe?”

Murkowski said Republicans who did not repudiate Trump earlier, who did not think it would get this bad, bear some responsibility. She includes herself in that group.

“I allowed myself to refrain from speaking my truth,” she said. “And I can’t just be quiet right now.”

Though she does say:
Murkowski said she will not join the new Democratic majority in the Senate, but is speaking to moderates of both parties, in the House and Senate, about ways to have more influence in Congress.

At least she admits that she was wrong in the past, unlike some who have broken with trump and only point to the current bad act that drove them away. Her words, unlike Lyin' Ted Cruz' words, at least don't make me want to puke.

Does Murkowski have any pull at all among her republican colleagues? If she would vote to convict following an impeachment, that would make at least two republican senators, counting Romney. They would only need 15 others. If those two teamed up could they persuade anyone?
