Ron Johnson is such a stool sample. And a coward. He knows Biden won fair and free election. He just is afraid to admit it because he knows the typical Wisconsin voter will turn on him if he does. He also claims that our institutions of democracy are strong enough to withstand a little sleight of hand.

Every day I think I cannot possibly lose any more respect for republican voters and they can't possibly seem any dumber to me. And then the next day comes and I find they are even dumber than I thought the day before.

You are being played, republican voters. Wake the fvck up for fvck's sake. Your politicians KNOW you are all a bunch of rubes and dupes. They count on it. The revel in it. They probably tell jokes about you at their 1950s style cocktail parties. You are all victims. For the benefit of the entire world, please come to grips with this reality. Quit being idiots and accept you were played and educate yourself with a dose or two of reality. The world needs you to come to grips with reality.

NEWS in Huddle: Rep. Mo Brooks plans to challenge the Electoral College votes when Congress officially certifies Biden’s victory on Jan. 6 ... if he can get a senator to join. He's had "indirect" talks w/ senators about it, but no one has committed yet.

This can't do much outside of force the issue for the GOP. The Trumpers won't forgive any GOP Senator who votes to certify the EC votes. And if somehow they cause enough mischief that it delays the count too long well...

This is such a disasterously stupid move. Not only will it not work but it further divides the party up. Even if he finds a Senator and they challenge the Electors they have to do it one by one (you dont just blanket challenge) meaning every time they need to then stop the count and debate the validity. Congress stops. Without any real proof of a problem the Electors will be accepted because you can't shut down Congress for days/weeks on end especially in a Pandemic. If they push it too far and the Inauguration hits the SOTH becomes Interim President. Since Congress won't be allowed to work for her or against her, she can EO anything she wants and they can't stop it.

There is no doubt in my mind that Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin will sign on with Mr. Brooks immediately.

Good. I honestly hope he does. I am a fair person (its why I suck at poker) but if someone is dumb enough to play into a made hand even after I give them the heads up they lost then screw it. Best example was years ago I was playing at Canterbury and there was this d-bag from Iowa playing at my table. (low stakes $2-4 table stuff) He was bragging about all these tournaments he won and how much he wins and annoying all of us. I was doing ok, just trying to get my money's worth in entertainment and he just kept yapping and insulting people and how they play. I get pocket aces and he bets into me so I play. Flop a third ace. He bets into me again with no chance to beat me. I call and on the turn nothing comes to help either and he keeps betting. I call and on the river I get the 4th ace. I can tell he has nothing good enough to play he is trying to bully me. (which sucks cause the jackpot would have been nice if he had something good enough) He bets into me again. I re-raise. He re-re-raises. By now there is enough money that I don't really care so I tell him I have the hand and he needs to stop raising and just fold. He laughs at me, says he thinks I am full of it and that he has a good enough hand to play (which is a lie because if he did he would have been pushing for the bad beat jackpot) and bets again. I call, flip over my aces, smile as he gets super angry, tip the dealer and cash out. If you are too stupid to listen to what people are telling you then screw you you get what you deserve.

If Ron wants to blow up his party, and likely take the first steps to ensuring Electoral College Reform that will hurt his party even more I am all friggin for it. If he wants to try and create a Constitutional Crisis that they can't win while doing it even better. There is nothing good that comes out of this for the GOP...nothing. The process will be hurt because it will erode even more confidence in it...but it will be the Left that wins this war both now and in the future.
 
The only reason we haven't seen white supremacist terrorism in the streets yet, is they all think that come Jan., there's going to be some magic solution, the fraud will become known, it will be absolutely irrefutable, and Donnie will be installed in office for four more years.

Wait until none of this happens, and Biden takes a seat behind the Resolute desk. Once the MAGA tears dry, there'll be blood in the streets.

Yeah I agree with this to a point. (I dont think it will be nearly as bad as some think) The anger wont be palpable until Jan 20th. When Q is proven wrong again and the QTards are forced to deal with it they will lash out badly but most of them dont have the balls to do anything super crazy. They will just talk a big game on Parler.

The Proud Boy types might march but as soon as they get confronted they will flee like the dickless wonders they are. Especially when they don't have the protection of the Federal Government.

I was reading an article saying that if there is no SOTH voted on by Inauguration Day, it goes to the Senate President Pro Tem, who is Chuck Grassley. Is this true? I know the PPT is third in line, but the part about the SOTH

IINM, SOTH gets voted on once the new Congress gets seated, which is a couple weeks before Inauguration Day.

That is the order of succession but it will never get to that point. Nancy Pelosi will win and even if they're is a fight a SOTH will be in place before 1/6.

Yeah, the only way it would get to Grassley would be if: (1) the Democrats failed to put a SOTH in place by 1/20/2021 at Noon; or (2) the Democrats were stupid enough to put a SOTH in place that was Constitutionally ineligible to be President (e.g. AOC).

Also, IINM, the SOTH does not have to be a member of Congress. So, if the Republicans really wanted to play games, the Democrats could say, elect Hilary Clinton as SOTH. It won't get there, but boy would it be fun.

The Democtrats tried a similar move after the 2016 election. This one will go approximately as far as that one.

Democrats had a slightly better argument but no ground to stand on. They also didn't actually challenge any just said they think Electors should follow the popular vote IIRC. This clown wants to actually have a challenge and try and force the issue. If he does that I think you will see Biden become the Far Left radical they pretend he is. (by that I mean the Dems will move Left and he will just sign off on all of it)

This is like when a team is up by 3 goals with like 7 minutes left in the 3rd and the other squad takes a cheap shot on the star player. It usually leads to a fight and then the team in the lead going for broke to humiliate the other team. Losing with class is as important as winning with class but if you aren't going to honor the game then you reap what you sow.
