What did people here wish for the people responsible for 9-11? Did you think those who planned and helped execute those terrorist acts should not have seen any military response (which by its very nature means widespread death and destruction)? How is this different? No matter what anyone thought of the policies of governments that angered people in the Middle East or elsewhere, the people who went to work at the Trade Center, or the people other than the terrorists who boarded those airliners, or the firefighters who walked UP the stairs while everyone else was trying to walk down, were innocent victims.

People were going to die from COVID-19 no matter what. Even under the best response from the government and from citizens, we were going to see thousands die. But South Korea, with 52 million people has seen fewer than 1000 die. Had our rate been similar there would be about 5000 Americans dead from COVID-19. The other 245,000 are innocent victims of leaders in this country willfully sacrificing them. And citizens -- sometimes loved ones of the very people who died -- refusing to do anything to help prevent the slaughter. Fvck them. I'm not going to do anything to hasten their demise, but you better believe I don't care if they die. Call me mentally ill. I don't care. I am angry that this is the country I live in. People wanted to nuke the Middle East after 9-11. I don't want wholesale destruction, I just want those responsible to pay.

I certainly don't care one bit about any denier that gets sick or dies. They are getting exactly what they want and deserve.

There are people who would benefit society if they did die- as it would save countless lives. And for that, I'm like Spock- favor the many over the one.

We've sacrificed too many because of the selfishness of the few. Or the political whims of one.

The US has become a worldwide embarrassment- and that lays on the hands of the full deniers down to the people who don't seem to get it that they should be looking out for their neighbors. Once again, we are not capable of looking outside our borders to see a better way of doing things.

I guess I'm not sure why my question creates this great irony in your mind. I don't think anyone wishing death on someone else is healthy, whether it's someone who wishes death on a person they observe going into a grocery store without a mask, or wishing death on the person that implemented the mask mandate.

today some asswipe on Next door started a thread to argue about kids in school. I’m so sick of it.

I know it’s hard for kids. It sucks. If we closed bars and gyms and people quit having game nights every weekend maybe the smaller kids could be back in school. But the longer all the incels fight it, the more the kids suffer

Isn't it something how the #Science folks get so rattled by anyone asking very simple questions around the inconsistencies that they experience in the World? Isn't that the essence of Science?
