What the tweet didn't show was Smith's fingers crossed behind his back....
Of course, ZD would have to find another school which had an interest. With players getting an extra year of eligibility, that might be difficult.

The Big 10 is a week away from starting the Hockey season. The ECAC has no clue what they are doing.
I know that a lot of people on this thread blames Ms Jackson for everything, but maybe if the ECAC gave some guidance we might have a season.
Ms. Jackson in 100% control on what happens with her student /athletes.....still to this minute for the hockey student/athletes who are in Troy.......no access to weight room, Fieldhouse, coaches, trainers, new gear/equipment etc. From my understanding the players have been responsible to find ice/training facilities on their own and at their own expense. If accurate, what message does this send to the players??
Appears to be little to no initiative to get any sort of return to practice plan in place/approved by Ms. Jackson.
I have no doubt that all of this is true. And I'm not even sure the players could find ice on their own if they wanted to pay....The Albany County rink at the airport is closed and according to the website, the Bethlehem YMCA rink is open only for group use. Clifton Park rink website says its closed until further notice. HVCC is likely locked down under the SUNY guidelines...
Sadly, I'm beginning to think that they'll be no RPI hockey played this year.
Every day it seems I am getting closer to be ready to watch reruns of Gilligan's Island. Not much of an alternative to Engineer hockey but i too am feeling that this season will be a lost cause. Was always kind of partial to Marianne.

Note, the RIT decision was -- far as we can tell so far -- a school decision to remain in concert with the Liberty League. Not the LL forcing RIT. ... So the 4 ECAC schools can make their own decisions. ... More to come.

Times-Union article indicates that ECAC AD's and Ivy presidents are conferencing today to decide the fate of the hockey season.

"While RPI’s athletic workouts remain on pause because of COVID-19, Union’s winter teams have been working out with their coaches this fall in small group activity with strict safety guidelines in place. Union said its teams will continue working with their coaches after athletes return from break “to provide an engaging on-campus experience.”
If there is no season , so be it. But sadly, all RPI student/athletes have not even been given the opportunity to experience an engaging on-campus experience like the folks just a few miles away......entire RPI athletic department has to be extremely frustrated.
Just checked the transfer portal. Not good.
