Still Complaining About ESPN...

If you didn't watch the first game you missed a tremendous one and quite frankly if you didn't because of who announced and no other reason then don't call yourself a college hockey fan. Sorry, not sorry. MSUM-SCSU was a fun watch.

I can put up with Bucci but Melrose has to go. Worse comes to worse I'll hit the mute button.

I actually like Bucc. He has gross ESPN stink on him but in unguarded moments he obviously realizes how absurd the whole thing is, the way Keith did. He's a smart guy stuck in a very, very dumb profession, and he's laughing at it, himself, and us.

Melrose and Milbury are humorless, self-important fools I stab with the mute button.

My complete lack of interest in this field is evinced by my having, for the first time in 40 years, forgotten the games were on. I will watch the final but I'm not sure there are 3 less interesting teams in the sport (UMD is amazing, I'm sorry I missed them).

At this point, that is exactly what makes it interesting. Watching them play, it's far from a fluke that either UMass or SCSU is still playing, and their play is pretty fun to watch. Add to that, the UMass drama over not having a few players- adds to the intrigue that they beat the so powerful UMD.

My counterargument to this would be OD deaths are up significantly in the last 15 years. I don’t think we should be locking people up but not sure drugs should be legal either.

If making drugs illegal would prevent people from being harmed by them, I can at least see an argument for making/keeping certain drugs illegal. We know seatbelts save thousands of lives so eventually we got around to making it against the law to drive on the roads without wearing one. But evidence has shown for years now that making drugs illegal does not stop people from using them or being harmed by them. Cigarettes and alcohol are perfectly legal and available within a 2 minute walk of virtually everone. Yet I don't touch either one. Never smoked the first cigarette in my entire life. The fact that certain drugs are illegal has done almost an immeasurable amount of harm. Exactly the opposite of what keeping them illegal is purported to be attempting.

You really should not have slept on SCSU and MSUM (more so SCSU) and UMASS with all their players back will be a tough out Saturday night. And in general I enjoy college hockey above all and will watch the playoffs no matter what as long as I have a stream.

But to each their own I guess.

My whole point is I would have watched if I'd remembered.

I have a lack of interest because I just don't care. I don't find the games as interesting as I used to. Unless I have a routing interest I can find better things to do.

Draft day today. As if the constant debate on who is going to draft who has not been noticed since the SB.

I'm too lazy to look it up or do analysis- but it would be interesting to see how successful the top two round draft picks have been. Which is the open question- does all of this constant analysis and talk and debate really make the draft any better?

I understand that there are fans out there who really appreciate talking football in the off season. But what about the rest of us who *might* be interested in what our team does- but not much outside of that. And even that interest is more about how is my team (the Lions) going to fail, again.
