Still Complaining About ESPN...

I'm fine with sports gambling being legal in most states these days. Rather the money be legal and taxed rather than going through bookies under the table.

This is my wife's attitude on all "sin" taxes. Legalize pot, betting, prostitution (yes, she said that, not me), all of it. And then tax the heck out of it. As she says, you are never going to stop those activities, so make tax money off of it.

There is zero reason weed isnt legal at this point...anyone who argues against it is so tone def and out of touch it isnt even funny. Probably still wear D.A.R.E. shirts...

I say this as someone who lives in a state that has little interest in passing these types of laws though. So I have to drive to Michigan or Illinois for weed (Michigan has much better rules and prices) and sports bet in Iowa or Michigan. (or just go to Vegas cause it is more fun anyways)

It's funny, I've lived in a legalized state that's been legal long enough and really only travel to other legalized states (Washington, Oregon) that's it's weird to see a state where it's not legal.

My counterargument to this would be OD deaths are up significantly in the last 15 years. I don’t think we should be locking people up but not sure drugs should be legal either.

Wow talk about a massive spin job. Please find me the evidence of all the weed ODs...I will wait.

or...

There is evidence that weed actually helps in the weening of people off opiods...you know...what people actually are ODing on.

Alcohol is the most deadly drug out there (and the hardest to kick...can literally kill you to detox) yet no one is calling for another Prohibition. What is the difference between regulated marijuana and alcohol?

This isn't the 1950s...Reefer Madness has been proven false 1000000 times over.

FWIW, my issue isn't gambling- if people want to throw their money away, feel free (those huge casinos didn't appear because people won a lot), but it's pretty interesting that ESPN is a Disney thing. Disney does not even have a casino in their cruise ships. As if anyone really thought that Disney was not all about money....

Not that this is a drug thread, but I think most of the source of those OD's can be traced to opioids, which can then be traced to the medical system at the bare root of the start.

What about my friend Becky? She snorted marijuana at a party and died instantly.

You cannot die from taking in too much marijuana. Literally cannot happen.

I like the guy on I think Newsmax who said he smoked weed once and woke up 3 days later in New Guinea or something...

I honestly wouldn't watch the Frozen Four unless my team is in it anymore. Melrose is awful and Bucci jumped the shark a LONG time ago. The fact that fans have embraced that stupid Cawlidge Hockey thing (or however he friggin spells it) was the beginning of the end for me. I appreciate that he likes the sport but he sucks at calling it. Sean McDonough was better and he was boooooooooooooooooooooooring. (Tom Mees owned all)
