It doesn't break my heart, it tells me you should be voting against every active Republican except Adam Kinzinger and maybe Liz Cheney.

Conservatism, while a regrettable genetic defect, can still be a functional non-toxic addition to the political spectrum. But conservatives with a brain should be fighting the AuthRight with every fiber of their being. Really they should be fighting Dumpism even more strongly than we on the Left, since for you it's the battle for the soul of your ideals. We outside the Right can only fight them; you inside can change them, and pull enough of the Right electorate to your side to defang the fascists. Because I've got news -- fascists turn on the non-fascist Right even more viciously than on the Left, because they see you as an internal existential threat. Sic doesn't survive the American Reich any more than Miss T. (Ironically, I do. I'm perfectly safe.)

I have a real problem with Obvious Putin Stooge Tulsi. You are being purposefully obtuse if you don't recognize that.



The modern GQP's sudden infatuation with hard right Eastern European "strongmen" like Putin and Orban (or, to expand on that, to include Kim Jong Un and Jair Bolsonaro) is pathetic. Reagan would dig his own corpse up and commit suicide in pure rage-filled spite if he knew what happened to his party.

He may be upset but he is the Godfather of all current Republicans. He set the wheels in motion. Those wheels were always headed to this place. The most irresponsible thing a President ever did, he did. He called the Government the problem. Now look at us. Our government is hamstrung unable to do anything to fix anything. The seeds were sewn in 1980. Trump, Desantis are the obvious "plants" grown from those seeds.

If his corpse was being honest it would say the same thing it said when he was asked why he left the Democratic Party. The party left him. It's also a much more honest statement in 2022. In 1962 it was Reagan who changed.
