How is he authoritarian? Aside from using executive orders to go back on executive orders of previous administrations? I think you're thinking of the establishment GOP, whom if you haven't already noticed, hate Trump.

That was fairly drastic

I think the left/right aspect mostly changed in relation to the degree in which things were (now are) important to me, rather than the agree/disagree. A couple things I know have changed, the one that sticks out most is my outlook in regards to taxation policies. It's become clearer and clearer that the holders of capital lack the understanding of rewarding their workforce through better pay even when "record profit growth" was recorded for a number of consecutive years. The libertarian/authoritarian rating stayed pretty constant.

Coming out of the closet and starting hormones moved me to a left social libertarian.
