I don't disagree with you, but if you ever wonder why a freshman who plays like a PotW doesn't get PotW but instead gets RotW, that's why. Otherwise, there'd be just one award: Player of the Week. Freshmen, goaltenders, and every other player in the ECAC would be eligible for one accolade.
