Yale @ RPI, Saturday, January 29th

Re: Yale @ RPI, Saturday, January 29th

Hey, Ralph, Doc... a satisfying weekend for RED... and anything but that for Yale (recall an old movie called 'Lost Weekend' w Ray Milland?) Yorkie has 76 saves, allows 2 goals. All in a weekend's work, eh?

Re: Yale @ RPI, Saturday, January 29th

A memorably good win for the Engineers! Yorkie steals one from the number one ranked team in the country. Should be a good boost for the .PWR too!

Doc, where did you get that modem, anyway? ;)

I was using a motorola surfboard 5120-it just died during the game-my speeds fell from my normal 25 megs to zero. I had an old modem in the garage-dug it out and swapped them out-but it took a call to comcast for them to resend a signal to me. Lost about 45 minutes total.

Tip of the hat to Doc for finding three goals in his new modem! :)

Princeton 4, Clarkson 3, F/OT (Tigers score :09 into OT)
Cornell 2, Harvard 1, F
Union 4, Brown 1, 3rd
no word on St Lawrence/Quinnipiac
Dartmouth 7, Colgate 4, F

i would listen on dial up if it would guarantee us a win! I was so frustrated when the modem died. Just lucky I saved the older one to use temporarily. Will upgrade to docsis 3.0 modem next week. I'm just trying to figure out how we get outshot so badly, have the puck in our end for ever, and still win by 3 goals? These truly are the cardiac kids. Everyone get out there and vote for Chase for hobey-the kid is incredible.

Just to answer your question, Alan York. For the first two periods, I was thinking that we don't belong on the same ice with these guys. When Rabbani scored the second goal after Yale tied it, it took some steam out of the Bulldogs. When we scored the third goal early in the third, Yale was done. I don't know how any other player in the ECAC can be named player of the week, other than Alan York.
He was amazing.

I think it'd be very easy. After all, there's a goaltender of the week award. If he doesn't win that, it would just solidify the fact the league has it out for RPI.

I think that 78 saves a shut out and beating the #1 team in the country is equat to a hat trick or six point weekend for a forward. Goalie of the week is not enough. JMO
