Yale Men's Hockey 2016-2017. Who will step up?

Re: Yale Men's Hockey 2016-2017. Who will step up?

An ugly win. Tucker made some nice saves and the shorty was obviously not his fault. He did have some trouble handling the puck behind the net tonight. Brown was the better team for two periods but seemed to tire in the end. Yales second goal was very soft, a bouncing shot by Smith that skipped past Nieto. Yale is now alone in sixth place , one point behind Cornell and two behind QPAC for that coveted fourth spot. Big weekend coming up with Princeton riding high again with the upset of Penn State tonight and QPac looking for blood after the A-State loss. !0 out of 12 points the last three weekends, i will take it.

LT - Interesting to see Brown's Matt Lorito and Yale's Kenny Agostino on same team at AHL Skills tonight. Would be even better to see them play together tomorrow.

Both great players who hopefully will click with an NHL team. It is sad though, that many of the smaller AHL and better Skilled Yale alumni have chosen to take their games to Europe. Probably self preservation at some point.

I still don't understand why brian o'neill didn't get a better opportunity in the NHL. He was fun to watch last year when he was with the Albany Devils, and a great player. Hell. 2 years before he led the AHL in scoring.

MVP as well, some players are destined to be AHL veterans and I think the money and less wear and tear in Europe are major factors. Andrew Miller is another case, he has the skills but probably won't hold up to the AHL grind, often injured.

Princeton played well and deserved to win, but the first thing I thought when Tucker was in goal was they wanted Spano rested for Q. Not that it was Tucker's fault. PU just played a little better than Yale.

Agree totally on the officiating, it was almost like they apologized by not calling misconducts, really weird, the non calls on obvious interference were brutal. Yale came out strong and an evenly called game might have been the difference. Too bad the refs had to ruin what could have been a great game. Not sure what happened but O'Keefe played a shift at forward, and a few at D.

While there were lots of non-calls both ways, those 2 majors were definitely worthy of misconducts, especially Hayden's. Shiplo (the victim of both boardings) didn't look good as he left the ice after the 2nd hit. Hopefully he's ok.

I just noticed Ken Agostino was called up by St. Louis. I hope he gets a true opportunity to play and stay in the NHL.

The game is on NBCSN right now , he has 3-4 shots, hit a post on the PP. Sad note, he left the ice after getting hit inside the knee with a slap shot. hopefully just a stinger. Edit, He just came back in the game.
