Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Re: Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Anybody know what's up with Hayden? Did he get hurt Friday?

I heard an elbow to the head against Dartmouth. Given Allain's nondisclosure policy, it could be anything from a headache to a heart transplant.

What a well written article, can't wait to see you guys Saturday night, GL.

Re: Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Cornell is looking to break out of the slow start.

Ryan is still out, which has been hurting us. I'm always interested in how Schafer tries to counteract the tempo difference. Team D has actually been quite good so far. The offense is execrable (yes, even moreso than years past).

We're desperate for a win, so this game could be played with a lot more urgency than you'd expect from a November meeting.

Nice gritty road win. Two important points against a ranked team. Lyon has matured into an outstanding goalie, kept Yale in the game in the first five minutes. O'Gara and Biacco with first goals of the season.

RIT fan here, looking forward to making the trip this weekend to check out Ingalls Rink! I'm slowly closing in on my goal of visiting all of the ECAC barns. Can anyone recommend any must do pre-game activities in the area? I'd love to check out a local haunt for a bite before the game.

Anna Liffeys Irish Pub and Archie Moores (known for buffalo wings) are sort of near the rink and good pub type places. If you have the time and a car, Pepe's or Sally's Apizza on Wooster St. are New Haven must eats, world class pizza. I most likely will be pre-gaming at an old Yale club called Mory's, it's a cool historical place that has a modern type pub with great food ( half price burgers during happy hour) and drink. If you would like to check it out, let me know via message so I can make arrangements for a guest or two.

All good recommendations from LT (as always). I'd also throw in BAR, which has pizza similar in style to Pepe's and Sally's (I know... heresy, but I'm entitled to my opinion) in a more modern bar setting.

I would also throw in Rudy's. That place is a true gem!

With mashed potato and bacon (and hot cherry peppers) pizza! And beer!

I like BAR as well, also Modern Apizza on State St. Zuppardi's on Union Ave. in West Haven is also top notch, the fresh hand shucked white clam pizza rivals or is better than Pepes, although I prefer Pepe's crust.

Thanks for all of the recommendations. Sounds like I will need to take it easy on Thanksgiving Dinner. :D

On a different note, I'm looking forward to being in the building to see Wayne Wilson coach against his son Stu. That's a winning family for sure, both having won a national title as players (in addition to a D3 + D1 Coach of the Year award for Wayne).
