Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Re: Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Glad Yale is in. Hope you guys make it count. Anyone know if Yale has been practicing in the last week? Good defense can win in the playoffs. With this kind of parity in D1 hockey, who knows.

According to a trusted source, they have been practicing all week!

vs BU Friday at 2pm in Manchester.
Won't be able to leave work in time to make it for Yale's first game of the weekend.

I can't believe you guys stay in the East and we have to go to South Bend. We got royally screwed despite our having a pretty good bracket. Unbelievable.

as you are a 3 seed and we are a 4 seed, very few similarities.
Yale cannot complaint, but certainly Providence got treated like a king. They play at home vs. lowest #1 seed. Yale could have easily been there. However, I love that we get a shot at BU. Let's see what this team can do given a second chance.

I'd take your bracket - thought sure Yale would be in Providence vs Miami. Hate the BU matchup. Omaha is a good team, but I'd say Harvard takes em. And besides, NH to NH for a Fri game @ 2? Might as well be playing in Indiana.

I'm not upset with the bracket. I'm upset that we were sent to South Bend. I get that the trip from NH to NH on a Friday for a 2pm game is difficult. And BU isn't a matchup I would want for an opening game but you guys did get in thanks to a confluence of events. Including our win. We would be able to send a lot more people to Providence or Manchester and yet the NCAA seemed to ignore that fact.

Every team in the field who didn't win their tournament got in "thanks to a confluence of events", whether those events occurred in November or March.

We got into the dance in large part thanks to 4 wins vs. Harvard.

LOL my team goes 4-5 hours east on an airplane EVERY SINGLE season!! Stop complaining.

I've seen in a couple of places this sentiment that Harvard got a good bracket. I'm not sure how people can feel that way given that they'd likely have to beat the #1 seed in the entire tournament (Minn. State) to get back to Boston (and that's assuming they get by UNO).

It would feel like bad luck to me to be placed in a bracket with BU or Yale (because I know they can beat Harvard) or North Dakota (because I saw them at #1 for so long). But yes, I would think that getting past Minnesota State will be very hard to do. And then how sweet it will be when it comes to pass.

Yes, coupled with 21 wins BY Harvard.

Absolutely. What we have is the somewhat bizarre situation that 1/3 of Harvard's losses were to Yale and 22 percent of Yale's wins were against Harvard. All that is left is for Yale and Harvard to meet in Boston.

Must be nice to hop a plane and travel to see your team play at the drop of a hat. Some of us have lives and don't have that luxury.

I haven't seen UNO or RIT. Have seen Minnesota State and they are good but we can stay with them. I would be more worried about Denver or Minnesota as I have seen both those teams and their physicality would be tough for us to deal with as we are a skating team. That's why I feel that our bracket is good, the location lousy.
