Nice showing by the ECAC in the ECHL All-Star game. Mark Arcobello won MVP with a hat trick and Eric Lampe was the second star.

Look on the bright side, guys, these are just 2 less games Yale* will have to forfeit for playing with an ineligible player.

You HE fanboys keep gloating, the ECAC is a meatgrinder with the top six teams capable of winning on any given night. Yale played well tonight and just could not solve York, it's becoming a trend that defenses are collapsing on the net and letting Yale have their passes but not giving them quality chances. Sorry this year ECAC is much better and deeper than HE.

York is the third best goalie in CH. It sounded like he was on it tonight.

Doesn't every league beat the crap out of themselves in january and february? How you consider the ECAC being notorious for it is beyond me though. I know those tough games against Harvard, Princeton and Brown really are poundings for the ECAC Elite but... still. I don't see #57 Colgate beating the crap out of too many teams.

Is it really a meat grinder? Just because the top 6 can win any given night means pretty much zilch. That could just be because the top 6 all suck for example.

But you bring up a good point, now that its more or less all conference games we can watch as the ECAC teams plummet in the rankings as their SOS start to catch up with them. When you lose to the likes of Brown it's just killer, and if you top it off with a 0 point weekend...

You are right, I don't get how listing 1/3rd of the teams accounts for a small sample size? Moreover please explain to me how playing 12 of 16 games against teams ranked 7th or worse in the ECAC (unranked in any national system) constitutues a "meat grinder" for the best team in the country ?
