Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

After tonight's disaster, it's safe to say that the optimism I felt in December has completely dissipated.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Complete lost weekend, hope these guys at least stay in the top eight in the ECAC standings

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Nice to see a solid, pretty dominating win after last week's disasters. We'll see if they can keep the momentum tomorrow. Finally got the last goal, although it was close with the Colgate PP the last two minutes getting a couple of decent chances.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Huge ECAC standings game Saturday, ( but aren't they all). Nice to finally see a start to finish effort. Kaz has won the starting job it seems, with the shutout I would think he sees Cornell.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Last week Yale seemed to be a step behind all weekend, this week they seemed to be a step ahead. Nice to see some offense. 8 goals in two nights is impressive. Two big games next week. Top 4 finish would be nice.

Great win, complete team effort again tonight. Tucker played well, also nice to see Hall break out with two goals. The forecheck was back and Yale somehow managed the vicious Cornell cycle. It was so nice to shut up the "well traveled" CU fans.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Enjoyable game to watch. Very competitive even when Yale had a cushion. That Cornell cycle is certainly a threat. Tucker played quite well and after sitting a few games seemed to come out with a command I haven't seen from him. He didn't shrink. Good for him! Snively may be their most talented player but Kemp is not far behind. Unless a defenseman is a puck rusher they don't often get the notice they deserve. He has become a presence and leading the team from the back end. Has he been drafted? If not, and he continues to develop, he's going to get a lot of free agent attention. Harvard and Dartmouth games could be pivotal in tie break situations.

Kemp, St Ivany, Hall and Stevens drafted. Snively is a free agent that should get some attention on the market.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Yale is guaranteed a top 8 spot in the ECAC tournament, there will be a home series. Scenarios:
If the Bulldogs finish the season in the Top-4, Ingalls Rink will host a Quarterfinal series (March 15, 16, 17 (if nec.))
If the Bulldogs finish the season in the No. 5-8 position, Ingalls Rink will host a first-round series (March 8, 9, 10 (if nec.)

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Thanks, LT. Two tough road games should give a good indication of their mettle. Looking forward to the weekend.

The last two weeks and the playoffs are going to be brutal, no easy games from here on out. The team is relatively healthy, although Stevens did not play last weekend, for reason(s) unknown. I think Hall is coming into his own and the opponents now have another offensive threat that they have to match up with, rather than keying on Snively's line all game. Yale has not beaten any of the last four regular season opponents going 0-3-1 so far.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

Has anyone seen the Yale Hockey team. They were scheduled to play in New Hampshire and Massachusetts this weekend but they never showed up.

Mr. Hyde weekend, can only hope they turn it around at home, not expecting much though.

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2018-2019

After an effort like this weekend's and at this point in the season you either curl up into a ball or you challenge yourself. We will see.
