Umass-Lowell in first round
Other half of bracket is RIT and Quinnipiac.
A little déjà vu from 2013 frozen 4 with these teams - lets hope for similar results. No doubt yale has talent to make it out of this regional.
No looking past UML however especially after we struggled so significantly to score vs Dartmouth.

Yale Fans - Welcome to Albany. There should be a lot of ECAC fans who will be rooting for you in first game. Bring some extra Yale t-shirts for additional fan support. Made the same request on Q thread. Will ne interesting if Yale and Q end up in finals.

Good luck this weekend, Bulldogs. Albany should be a very ECAC friendly and hopefully, with Union and RPI being co-hosts, will help turn out more fans for you and Q. UML will be a very tough and disciplined opponent. Here is hoping the ECAC will emerge out of Albany and head for Tampa.

Just spoke to a representative at the Times Union Center, NO re-entry allowed between games on Saturday.

Really? How can that make any sense? What do they expect people to do for possibly 3 hours? If people leave (with valid all-session passes) they will deny re-admission?

Because of tv they expect the QU game to go to 6:30 with Yale at 7:30. I am going to have a bite and a few drinks outside and watch Q on the tv, if it is still close in the third I might wander in.

Ah... I didn't realize the first game wasn't until 4:30. For some reason I thought it was at 2:30. Makes a lot more sense.

There's a way to beat that. They allow smokers to go outside and smoke on a deck, there are stairs on the deck leading to the street. Shhhhh beers right there.
You guys have played only TWO games since Feb 27, must be healthy now, but rested or rusty ??

Two truly bad losses which I think Allain's will have them working off. Everyone who did not have a season ending injury was available for Dartmouth and I do not remember anyone else getting badly hurt in those games, so healthy it is.

I think it takes them a period to work out the kinks from only two games in four weeks.

Yale is running a bus from RTH (Athletics Department) to Albany on Saturday. The bus will leave promptly at 3:30 p.m. - and will make stops at both the reception and the Arena. The bus will return to New Haven immediately following the game. Round Trip Cost is $25 Round Trip.

All i can say is wow. Thats the whole point in sports. Go tell Middle Tennessee state they shouldnt have been on the court with michigan state after they won that game. Or after all the upsets this year in the basketball tourny. Yes the cream of the crop is still alive and in terms of hockey if Quinnipiac is #1 like everyone has them then it shouldnt matter who they line up against. But thats sports. Sports is the equalizer between the big powerhouses and the rest of the field. We dont need less teams. One can argue we need more teams in the tournament. You dont think a team like Minnesota can win a game in a regional and upset someone. All im saying is that whoever wrote this article sounds like they are scared of opponents esp ones that have nothing to lose. In the words of Rocky when Drago says I must break you.... little guys can turn around and say No way. So i would love to see the field go to 20 teams.
