Looking ahead a bit, the USMNT’s Round of 32 is most likely to be the third place team from Group B. The most likely team from is the winner of the Bosnia-Qatar game. There’s an outside chance of Canada being the team if Bosnia makes up the goal difference. And of course it could be no one from Group B if Bosnia and Qatar draw, in which case a two man sack race will occur on consecutive Sundays until an opponent can be determined.
 
It’s important to note that Uzbekistan qualified because they were in a group with Iran, Qatar, UAE, Kyrgyzstan, and North Korea. The Asian Confederation plan of putting Australia, Japan, and Saudi Arabia in the same qualifying group really paying off.
 
It is kinda funny seeing the CR7 fanbois gripe that of course Messi has five goals because "he hasn't played anyone" and then celebrate today because their hero scored two against *checks notes* 58th ranked Uzbekistan...

It should be all or nothing as far players being allowed to play. There are obviously a lot of politics involved but it should be a non-negotiable for FIFA.
 
This country has never had problems with athletes allegedly committing rape. It was essentially a one-game suspension, which is about right.

Besides, the senate checked his calendar and there wasn't an entry marked "Committed a rape" so he was good to go. Susan Collins herself gave him her blessing. (y)

Hopefully Panama puts up a good performance against Croatia. Really could use a fourth CONCACAF team advancing.
