World Soccer XXXI: Golden Generation?

Bundesliga has a new US TV deal with USA Network and… Fandango? Yeah apparently they have a streaming service.

It’s $20 million a year for five years. That’s $10 million less than what ESPN was paying. The market correction has begun.
That's a bummer. USA is paywalled for me. No more Bayern or Dortmund. But St Pauli were relegated so weren't in the Bundesliga anymore anyway. Does USA get Bundesliga 2 and 3 or do those stay with ESPN?

Free streaming on Fandango is a plus but won't necessarily bring new eyeballs
Considering the Bundesliga is drawing less than La Liga’s 91k average viewership, it might actually get worse.

For all of the talk about soccer’s popularity in the US, it really only applies to three leagues: Liga MX, the PL, and MLS (and the Champions League). It’ll be interesting to see what La Liga gets when their rights renew.

Will there be Falkland Island chants in the stadium this afternoon? I just read that Argentina’s VP is calling England “Usurping Pirates.”

I love when they play the classics.
You joke, but they're about to start drilling oil off the coast of the Falklands. Not only do you have the Argentine-UK dispute, but now we add the Israelis to the mix (the oil company is Israeli) and this has potential to be a real war... And don't forget the child rapist war criminal. Once he hears about the oil he might decide to forgo Greenland and Cuba and start focusing a little further south.

The Argentinians basically handed Maggie and the Conservatives another ten years of power with their miscalculation of invading the Falklands.
