I would love for them to make a run, but they don’t have a Messi. They do have the easier road on paper now though with Portugal and Croatia rather than Argentina with Netherlands and England/France.

The LOTG say a caution for “entering the field of play without the referee’s permission”. That was just shocking officiating, I had three red cards before looking at the tape.

The BBC commentators are livid at this referee. Consistently inconsistent right from the start. Why bother with VAR if you aren't going to use it for a brawl?
I do loathe the BBC crew though. Both Fox and ESPN explained why Memphis prefers that name and has it on his shirt. PBP and studio crew followed that protocol. Jonathan Pearce seems to relish every opportunity he has to call him "Depay"

When you have a brewha-ha with multiple players, what does giving a double tweet every 5 seconds accomplish, especially if there is no cards or other discipline issued? I saw the AR’s come in to aid, which also seemed pretty rare.
It’s something that the American officiating training in me just can’t comprehend. It goes against everything I’ve been taught across multiple sports.
