Dest reaction from CBS...

I I find it interesting for lack of a better term really how many former players seem to think that he should be automatically left off the Copa team...
Like I said in the previous post... how USSF and Berhalter handle this could be defining for them.
Well the current players on the team agree with Lalas that hey anything for winning or will they think he needs to have an example set considering this is the second time he's done it.

So in March... The US versus Jamaica and Panama versus Mexico.
If Mexico's form doesn't improve... Or they don't CONCACAF the thing... I think we play Panama in the final.
One good thing in my opinion... In just a third year of this seven different teams have made the semi-finals.

I'd love to know how the Premier League games are chosen for broadcast in the United States...
City versus Liverpool tomorrow the only game on at that time one versus two in the league and it's relegated to peacock streaming only.
That seems like an extremely odd choice...

Seven teams might be close to the cap on how many teams realistically have a shot to make it. Trinidad is apparently bouncing back from their woes the past few years, so you can make it eight. But of the two other teams that have made some noise in the past, El Salvador went and got themselves relegated this time around, and Guatemala just can't seem to get over the hump.

The only thing keeping it as open as it is is the fact that Canada Soccer is broke and run by idiots. A competently run Canada and the NL becomes a three team tournament with a rotating fourth slot.

Also, Costa Rica dropping off of cliff helps too.

Why does Man City vs Liverpool kick-off at 12:30?

Generally, the 16:30 Sunday fixture is reserved for the biggest game of the weekend and aired by Sky Sports as they own that time slot. They are entitled to 19 first picks out of the 32 matches shown in that slot per season.

The reason they are playing at 12:30 on Saturday is Man City are scheduled to face RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. Were they to play in the Sunday slot, there would not be enough of a turnaround before they face the Bundesliga side.

Sky chose to televise this game in the 12:30 slot, although there were hopes that it could be played at 17:30 on Saturday. That was not approved by local stakeholders and the police.

The fans and culture around German soccer are hilariously contradictory.

They absolutely hate clubs like RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim for using their wealthy owners to “buy” their places in the Bundesliga and take away spots from “rightful clubs” like Schalke and Hamburg aka clubs that are from heavily populated areas and can use the money from their large fanbases to outspend other teams.

They decry Americans for their “closed system” but also only want clubs that “do it right” (except Bayern, they can cheat).

99.9% of German soccer fans don't give two shits about American soccer.

Not talking about just American soccer, more our professional sports system in general.
